Last night people were dancing at a club. There was this really gorgeous girl made eye contact with me, and kept gazes and smiles. About 10 + times over 2 hours. Finally, cause I didn't want to go over to her, I motioned to her to come. She turned her head away and pointed to the dance floor, from what I could see. So, then I dropped the whole ball, and said for get it. I don't phuking dance! And I didn't pay her much attention afterwards, nor her me. As much as women like to dance, I don't like to dance. Dancing for me is a sign of silliness. I would only dance if I was taught how professionally. I tend to like to keep my aura of confidence and cool rather than dance.

It is my understanding the main rifles used were Springfield Model 1861 and 1863. Certainly a long way from smoothbore flintlocks of 20 years prior, but a long way from say the Springfield M1903. Germany developed the Mauser 6 years after the end of the Civil War. Talk about a huge leap!
Let's say even a relatively small advance, like the Springfield Model 1968, "Trapdoor Springfield" was possible in the Civil War. Would the significant advances in small arms soon to become popular have been even remotely possible in the Civil War period? Would limited production (say a single regiment) of these bolt action or trapdoor rifles significantly effect the outcome of the war? I find it interesting such developments were not long off, yet somebody couldn't have rushed that technology. Look at WW-2, in the beginning, the P-40 was probably the main fighter aircraft. Compare that to a P-51. Aircraft are far more complex, yet in a short time there were design revolutions, not evolutions. Thanks.

I really like this guy... He stares at me in class, and we talk sometimes, and its always fun... We love the same music. But I'm not sure if he likes me back... I don't want to ask him, because it would get awkward afterwards... What should I do? Any advice will do... Tell me how I should flirt too!!

My husband and I were stationed at Ft. Riley, KS. We bought a townhouse. Now, he is in Iraq, and I am pregnant. We thought it best for me to move back near both our parents in Indiana. We bought a house in Indiana thinking our Kansas house would sell right away. It hasn't. Is there any kind of relief I can get on the mortgages because of this situation?

The Bible says the earth was flat or a circle (contradicts itself), Magellan sailed AROUND the earth proving that the earth is a sphere.

Job 38:12-13 "take the earth by the edges and shake the wicked out of it

Matthew 4:1-12 "[T]he devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them"

The Bible says that the earth did not move and the sun orbited around the earth because the Bible says that. They were wrong. Galileo was imprisoned for life and one of his friends was killed by the church.

(Psalms 93:1)"Surely the world is established so that it cannot be moved."

Samuel 2:8)"For the pillars of the earth are the Lord's, And He has set the world upon them". If you go to any seashore, you are bound to see houses built on pillars, and yet the houses don't move. How strange.

The Bible says that rabbits chewed their cud.
Lev. 11:6 And the hare, because he cheweth the cud"

My grandpa was a freemason until he "saw its evils" and went to become a Christian minister. He keeps my grandma in fear about it saying that if he tells anyone anything about it, the masons will kill him. I know this to not be true, based on alot of research and my brother who is in the fraternity. I got into an argument with my grandpa over the fraternity and the oath you take. How do I convince my grandma, possibly my grandpa, that freemasonry isn't a cult, or against Christian values. (I am 100% for Freemasonry, and firmly believe in its tenets. My problem is, my grandparents don't understand Masonry and why it has to have secrets. Again, This is in no way disrespecting Masons, I'm simply trying to alleviate their fears. NO ANTI-MASONIC REPLIES PLEASE!!!!!!!)

I am a high school student in the New York Metro. This week, I recieved a "language" survey administered by my french teacher. The nameless survey asked for my name, address, grade, and current GPA. It asked what language I am currently taking, what languages I wish to take, and what college/career I wish to pursue. Then, it asked if I did any varsity sports, and my views on joining the military! Additionally, this survey asked if I had no choice, what branch of the armed forces would I wish to join! The address at the bottom indicated the so-called "language" survey was from Alexandria, VA.....which also happens to be the home of the department of defense. I wanted to know if anyone else has recievied this survey, and if it is even legal to give to a bunch of 14 year old freshmen!!!!
