Hint the state directly north of Hawaii is the state that is furthest North, Furthest West and Furthest East of the 50 States

No... they must be referring to Alaska, although it's not directly north of Hawaii by any stretch of the map or the imagination. Go ask your teachers how much attention THEY paid in geography class.
