So many anti-immigration fanatics complain about how immigrants are supposedly ruining this country, and one of the things they complain about bitterly is how most telphone menus say "Press 1 for English". It seems so silly to me that people complain about pressing just one single button for English. Are all the anti-immigration activists really so lazy that they can't press just 1 button for English? If that's the case, I can't imagine how trying it must be for them to dial a 7 or 10 digit phone number! Or is it just that you anti-immigration activists can't stand being reminded that foreign languages and cultures exist? Please tell me why it is such a grave inconvenience to press 1 for English!

Let me see if I correctly understand the thinking behind these protests.
Let's say I break into your house.
Let's say that when you discover me in your house, you insist that I leave.
But I say, "I've made all the beds and washed the dishes and did the laundry and swept the floors.
I've done all the things you don't like to do.
I'm hard-working and honest (except for when I broke into your house).
According to the protesters:

• You are Required to let me stay in your house
• You are Required to add me to your family's insurance plan
• You are Required to Educate my kids
• You are Required to Provide other benefits to me and to my family (my husband will do all of your yard work because he is also hard-working and honest, except for that breaking in part).

If you try to call the police or force me out, I will call my friends who will picket your house carrying signs that proclaim my RIGHT to be there.

It's only fair, after all, because you have a nicer house than I do, and I'm just trying to better myself.
I'm a hard-working and honest, person, except for well, you know, I did break into your house.

And what a deal it is for me!!! I live in your house, contributing only a fraction of the cost of my keep, and there is nothing you can do about it without being accused of cold, uncaring, selfish, prejudiced, and bigoted behavior. Oh yeah, I DEMAND that you to learn MY LANGUAGE!! so you can communicate with me.

Why can't people see how ridiculous this is?! Only in America

is it true that you cant use ordianry soap for your face like (ivory soap)? they say that you really have to use FACIAL WASH (ponds facial wash, dove facial foam etc) to cleanse your face because it wont irritate your face?is it just a form of advertising? i mean.. many years ago was there ever Facial Wash? like before christ or AC.?hehe so does it mean that if facial wash wasnt invented then people would get bad skin because you have to rely on it forever? cant we just use ordinary soaps? even baby soaps? i remember the best skin i had was when i was using (IVORY SOAP) i was 13 im 19 now. my skin was soooo soft & smooth before. then i got fooled by advertisements..so i kinda have acne now.im not against facial wash or anythin i just wanna get people's opinion about it.thanks alot.

2005 Chevrolet Colorado. its only happened twice. it turns over but doesnt start, then i will try it again and take my hand off the key and its still trying to start. then after 10 to 30 mins. it starts up and runs great like nothing ever happened.

My period is scheduled to come October 22, 2007, in the middle of a trip I'm taking.

This will cause a huge inconvenience as I've been suffering from heavy menstruation syndrome the past year or so.

My cycle is every 24 to 25 days. I desperately want to skip this period but I've never been on birth control before.

Is there anything I can do now, or is it too late?

well i've been married for 5 years now my husband has an anger management problem he is 6 feet tall and looks like a fooball player so it is pretty intimidatingwhen he gets mad over little things even if i ask what they saying in the news he will snap but this is being growing with time he wa better before but it seems that he is always strees out about anything and everything he has an streessing job that i understand but dont take it out on me that how i feel then he blames me for everything that goes wrong in our life its just i have to much guilt all the time my best friend tell me i can live the rest of my life this way but is soooooo hard to divorce because i love him even more than my self i worry about hes feelings a lot and i know he loves me a lot so bottom line is dont know what todo cause he says hes going to change but then goes back to old wayshes done a lot a thing to me but cheating he is very lawful to me he always home when hes not working .

Is FireWire a hard drive or a PCI card or a actual wire?
I am trying to learn how to transfer video from my DV video camera to the computer to edit it, then to possible youtube or DVD. Please help.
