My period is scheduled to come October 22, 2007, in the middle of a trip I'm taking.

This will cause a huge inconvenience as I've been suffering from heavy menstruation syndrome the past year or so.

My cycle is every 24 to 25 days. I desperately want to skip this period but I've never been on birth control before.

Is there anything I can do now, or is it too late?

Its too late.

Women for hundreds of years have been doing everyday activities without wondering how to stop/slow/delay/accelerate their period.

Do not let it run your life. Wear tampons and take pamprin and carry some spare tampons and enjoy your vacation!

And, talk to your doctor about the heavy flow, you can get on birth control pills to help lighten the flow.
