Test for it and if you qualify go in guaranteed job. Don't leave it chance if that is what you really really want to do. But also know that you will have to wait for a tech school.

for Navy it really is very difficult to get MC in your contract, as it is a new rating and is comprised of four old ones, and is very full.
Across thew Board in all Five Branches, it is a very small community, so there is not a huge need for it at any given time.
