Superficial rust will often come off by rubbing with steel wool or a plastic kitchen scourer. But sharpening edges is usually a good plan anyway, regardless of rust.

no big, u just need to find an edge sharpener. go to the shop and pick on up for like 5-7 bucks. when u use it, make sure u use the right side on the right side of the edge. the 90 degree works the base side, and the 88 degree works the sidewall side. only stroke 1 direction, and go the length of the edge. this will take off the rust and leave your edges shiny and sharp. if u dont understand these directions, ask a guy at the shop to show u when u buy

Andy has it right, to fix it just shave your edges.
To stop it from happening again, wipe your board clean of snow when your done for the day and when you store it for any length of time wax it first.

You could always get a full tune kit and do the whole board at the same time. This would save you money from having to get it serviced as well.
