In the NHL you're constantly hearing about teams moving or wanting to move, yet in other leagues such as MLB, NBA, or NFL, it is a rare occurrence.. It baffles me why the NHL moved out of cities such as Hartford, WInnipeg, or Quebec, when those 3 cities probably had the most loyal fans, compared to teams like Phoenix or Atlanta? I mean, 10 years after they move, both Hartford and Winnipeg still have booster clubs, fan sites, organizations trying to get the NHL back.. Im sure if the NHL were to leave Phoenix it would not happen.. Why has the NHL abandoned these cities whose fans, even when the teams were not doing so great, still supported them and cherished them.. it makes no sense to me, and since the whalers, jets, and nordiques have left, the league has not been the same....
