I have recieved emails from an ex-Catholic asking me, a non-Catholic (a non-Christian), to explain to Him why Catholics do the things they do. He repeated to me the same old lies and biases against the Catholic Church, like worshiping Mary and the Saints and asked me to explain to him why Catholics do that.

what I am just trying to figure out is, how come a former-Catholic doesn't know what the Catholic Church has been REALLY teaching all through these years that he fell prey to the lies against the Catholic Church?

what has he been doing all through the years he was Catholic that he clearly has no idea what the Catholic Church REALLY teaches, that he has to rely on a non-Catholic, like me, to explain his former religion's teachings?

I mean, I don't have to be a Catholic to see the lies being spread against the Catholic Church, so why are there Catholics who can't see through the lies that other sects spread against his/her own religion?

I just can't understand.

I have been doing some research on the topic and I found out that it's been 750 000 years since the last switch and that it usually switches about every 500 000 years...so we are about due. Also, that it takes around 7000 years for the entire process to happen and during this time the magnetic fields(especially at the poles), is weaker and doesn't protect us as much from the sun and specifically from solar flares.

So is it possible that global warming may not be caused by man-made greenhouse gasses and it is just a natural cycle in the history of our planet every time the poles switch?

Some may think that instead of debating and defining these words, we should assume that we already know, and spend our time working and fighting for the ideals that the words represent.

But it seems strange to me that armies die and civilian populations so often sacrifice for theese ideals, yet most people can't even give plain, simple definitions.

I open the discussion by roughly defining "liberty", as "freedom to do some good without doing disproportional harm in the process," defining "freedom" as simply "lack of restraint". Let somebody else tackle the job of defining "good" before or after supplying your own definitions of "liberty" and "freedom", which, of course, is the whole point of this proposed exercise.)

I think that in thinking on these things people would develop enhanced appreciation of Lincoln's comment, "The world has never arrived at a satisfactory definition of liberty."

Here in the UK, shrimp (singular) or shrimps (plural) are very small prawns. What precisely do you consider to be "shrimp" in the USA? I imagine that they are what we would call Tiger Prawns or Jumbo Prawns?

I mean some banks say they can only take less than 10k deposit one time other wise it will be reported to IRS and the others say if you deposit that much money you'll have to pay taxes to the govt? Is that true even though the money was saved from lawn mowing, paper routes and allowances combined? Are we living in a communist system if this is true?

My momther and i want to move away from her ex-boyfriend of 6 years, who we currently live with. WE are very tight on money, and she suggested sharing a house, with strangers. i hate this idea. im 13 years old and do not like sharing anything. expept with people i like but thats different. when it comes to living situations, i like my stuff in its place, no one can touch it. otherwise i get REALLY frusterated. soo anyway i was wondering what kind of places we could find that we could possibly each have our own space, but sharing a house. i havent even heard of that before, exept college students. but for a mother, her 13 year old daughter, and their dog?

what ever information of websites you have to help would be great.

I had the local dealer come out and set the belt tension. It seems to be ok for a half hour or so, but then seems to lose some of its drive power. I checked the level in the chaincase and when I took out the plug, a couple of litres of oil poured out. It seemed kinda watery and looked like chocolate milk. Is there any way that rainwater could get in there. Ive already spent way too much money on this thing to take it back to the dealer, so any help would be very much appreciated. The drive motors were just re-surfaced at a local hydraulic shop, not complete new units. They told me they're as good as new. The drive belt and tensioner are also new.

I have this tv that has been showing an ad on the screen, like it was still in the store trying to be sold to someone... One day the grandkids at grandma's started playing with it and that's what happened. Won't work right ever since. Is there a way to restore it to normal settings? Whenever we unplug it, plug it in and turn it on, it is still stuck on this setting! I've never seen anything like it. Displays messages such as, " This is why you need this tv" then goes on to say it's features. I'm all out of ideas, maybe you can help. The tv is 13 years old(Magnavox), so it's not the end of the world if no one knows how to fix it!
