If you need to blame someone then point the finger at anybody. I mean it is unfair to blame religion on mortgae payment so it really doesn't matter which one you blame. unfair is unfair.
Mortgage is not driven by religion. It is driven by market economy. Mortgage rate change happens all the time. The name of the game is making money. So, somebody is always going to make money out of someone else. So, you have to think about why was there a mortgage change. Did the taxes go up? Did you have a variable interest rate? How is the economy doing? so on and so forth.

Excuse me.. but I do not see where you are going with this question? You really cannot believe that YOUR mortgage went up because a religious issue, do you? You probably ended up getting a sublime loan, which means it was a high risk loan. But religion has nothing to do with your payment increasing!
