I think there is a unwritten law that says a family can`t do anything together, and we have those lap top, games, everyone has their own TV in their rooms. when that picture was taken in the Fifty's most family's did`nt have one TV in the house, I am 64 and I was 12 when my dad got a big Tv like the one in the picture, when the nightly shows come on you set down and shut up. we had supper together help Mother clear the table and wash dishes by hand, and then we could turn the TV on. but we watched what my Dad like to watch, we only had three channels and it was black and white. but on saturday mornings we did get to watch the lone ranger, and other shows. Thanks for the question took me back aways..
