What do you think this verse means?

Children, obey your parents in everything, for this pleases the Lord. (Col 3:20)

Do you think it means that even as an adult you should follow what your parents ask of you?

My husband and I have been married for over 7 years and met in the state we are currently living in, my hometown. He hates it! I have to hear about 2 hours straight everyday on why he hates the state, the "minorities", the jobs, and why a meteor should completely wipe it and everyone who lives here off the face of the earth. Which I don't understand, here its not bad, I've seen bad! He is desperate to move to his birthplace (never lived there) in FL. He says everyone there is nice, courteous, waves, starts conversations. No allergies, no traffic, better paying jobs. I myself am a minority so he is looking forward to where there is more white people like him. Pretty much its Mayberry to him. We have a very troubled relationship and he is willing to go no matter what. I love being near my family, truly my only friends. I absolutely don't fly, so I'm scared I will never see them again. And if we do separate where will I live there? Anyone had these problems?

im a very emotional person when it comes to death.. ive only known one person in my life that has died. i mean, a lot of people i knew of, or my family knew.. but nothing major. but still when i hear about it. i feel awful. its like i dont know how to feel. i get very quiet and i dont know what to do.

i just found out that my principals daughter died yesterday. my mom went to school with his wife, and hes a really nice guy. we're pretty close, well as close as a student/principal relationship goes.

but my dad just told me, and i feel horrible. his daughter cant be much older than me.. and icant get past this "why does this have to happen" thought that keeps repeating in my head. i dont think she was sick.. so i doubt they saw it coming. i cant help but cry...

how can i deal with this? and how am i ever going to deal with a loss in my family

My sister is not a practicing Catholic but is legal guardian of her grandchildren. Other family members who play an active role in the children's upbringing are active Catholics. Sister has agreed to allow children to be baptized. Other family members want to have the children baptized and will take full responsibility for religious education. Can these children be baptized in Catholic Church.

I recently heard a story of a woman who had fallen in love with her boss and just couldnt confront it even though they were both single. Finally when she was about 40 she decided to resign from her job to 'get a life' as she couldnt forget him seeing him every day. He asked her why she was leaving and she confessed to have fallen in love with him. He then proposed to her!! This is a true story! My question to men is, can you tell/ sense if a woman is in love with you?

It's funny that the NEW conservative party keeps on banging on about immigration, and guess what happens-yep! The polls show a bounce. I notice that there has been more hate violence in the last week, maybe someone can explain to me, civilly, why that should be so?

I suppose this is mainly for the girls cos I know guys aren't petty like us girls.

I'm sure you all have a celeb that your madly in love with! For me it's Gary Barlow. I think he's absoloutly amazing and gorgeous, my mates say I'm obsessed.

What I want help on is my friends always look at a pic of him and say 'how can you seriously think he is good-looking?' and all sorts of questions like that, basically claiming he is ugly.
Do your friends ever say this to you about whoever your madly in love with?

It really hurts me when they say it! It's just something inside me that gets really angry and makes me want to shout their head off.

Why don't they understand that everyone has different opinions?? I also don't get how they think Gary Barlow is not good looking but that's obviously their opinion.
So what can I say to my friends when they say this to me because it really hurts me and I know it shouldn't but it does.

(By the way I don't want any negative comments about Gary)

Hi, I'm doing a research paper (12 pages) on Extraterrestrial Life. I'm posting the thought of lifeforms beyond Earth. The pyramids were impossible to be man-made. One block on the pyramids weigh thousands and thousands of pounds (I believe 10-15 tons each). It's been proven that these blocks were impossible to lift with the Egyptians' technology at the time. So, how were the pyramids made? They had to have had help from other beings. What about Gods? Where did ancient civilizations get the ideas for Gods? Maybe the Gods were the other worldly lifeforms. Man went from living in caves to building pyramids?? Na. They had to've had help from something. The Aztecs. An ancient civilization that built great structures. What were these for? What was the point of having these pyramids and everything? Post your thougts about this topic.
