many say its a chip that will be put under the skin or its physical marking on the skin. I understand its spiritual and can be seen by a spiritual understanding (mind).

According to Strong's Greek Concordance, 666 can be an
obsolete letter (AS A CROSS) of the Greek alphabet. I
think that is very interesting.
I think this letter is in their minds & deeds, not a literal mark.
I also believe that the buying & selling is for spiritual food, as
"Come buy, without money & without price". Prov 23:23,
"Buy the truth, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction,
and understanding".
Satan has a counterfeit for everything of God's and this
mark is the counter of Rev 9:4's "...seal of God in their
foreheads"; Eph 4:30, "And grieve not the holy Spirit of
God, WHEREBY YE ARE SEALED unto the day of
redemption". The Holy Spirit is our teacher, John 14:26.
These have another spirit which is the spirit of error; 1 John
4:6, "We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he
that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the
spirit of truth and the SPIRIT OF ERROR".
The beasts are false religions. The first has 7 heads; Christ
is the Head of His Church, but these are false Christs which
are taught by the false prophets; (Matt 24:11 & 24) (2 Cor
11:13-15).
Very few agree with me, but I believe the prophecy within
the book of Revelation has been fulfilled; Christ faught
the battle of Armageddon while he walked this earth &
when he said "it is finished" Rev 16:17 says "It is done".
Christ finished the works the Father sent him to do & he
defeated both sin & death and won the victory. The
battle was won when He rose from the dead.

For some 2,000 years, 666 has been recognised as the symbol of the dreaded Anti-Christ, who will come to rule the world before the Last Judgement. For many, it's an unlucky number: members of the European Parliament are even said to leave seat no. '666' vacant.

In 2005 however, a new translation of the earliest known copy of the Book of Revelation shows it to be 616, not 666.
The controversy has been around since the 2nd century AD. Friedrich Engels analysed the Bible in his book "On Religion" (1883), where he too calculated the number as 616, not 666.
The Book of Revelation was the first book of The New Testament to be written and is full of numerical puzzles. Each of the 22 letters of the Hebrew alphabet has a corresponding number, so that any number could also be read as a word.
It could be argued that the Book of Revelation is a political tract with a distinct anti- Roman bias, numerically coded to disguise its true message. The Number of the Beast (whatever that might actually be) referring to either Caligula or Nero, the hated oppressors of the early Christians, and not some incorporeal, diabolical 'bogey-man'.

The mark of the beast is 666 it could be the combination of numbers like numerology, The chip could very well be the mark of the beast. I know that I will not take the chip. There will be a small number of Christians who will be "Left Behind." Those who are will find ways to meet with each other and to help the unsaved understand what is going on in the world. I volunteered in prayer if God will want to use me. I would like to be taken up in the rapture but I would like to help the blind see.

A mark that represents the number of the beast 666. A chip would leave a mark, so who knows. If anyone takes the mark they cant go to heaven. The Antichrist will require all to receive the mark in order to buy or sell.

Actually the mark of the beast will be seen by everyone. It is the mark of the believer that can be seen only by other believers. This is how Christ will continue to protect His sheep. Read Revelation, then try to find a church in the area with small groups or bible studies. Mine has a Sunday school class called "The Word" which helps get hrough all these questions.

The mark all depends. Nobody knows for sure what it will be. When debit cards first started coming out alot of religious people thought those were the mark. Over seas people are actually starting to get chips inplanted on the top of the hand as their only means of getting paid and buying things. It is in development right as we speak. Most religeous people think this is the mark. One can never be sure untill the time gets here.

666 is the number of the beast and he is Satan...The anti-Christ.He will rule the whole earth and there will be a marking of 666 you cannot buy or sell if u don't have it.

I totally agree with Christ's Pupil, most of Revelation has already happened. Most of it was about the persecution of the Christians in ad 70 and after! Wow, I thought I was one of the only Christians that thought this...who knew?
