think human nature being what it is, if there was no religion, people would still form opinions, groups, and would like to enforce there views on others. They would just call their opinions some other name instead of their religion. Therefore there would be just as many wars if there were no religions. I would really like some thoughtful comments from people about human nature and would it be different without religion.

I am trying to get into a university with a difficult admissions standard. In high school I didn't really care and my grades show is. Most of my grades were C's and a few B's, but I was in honors classes. Now 2 years out, I have been going to community college and have completely changed. I have made A's in every college class I have taken, except history which I took when I was in high school and got a C. My current GPA is 3.85 out of 4. I have 2 honors credits as well. Is this a competitive academic record to get into a decent university? Or will my high school grades come back to haunt me?

Its a dog eats dog. I personally am not a dog eats dog man. I am the type of guy, that if you gave 100 million dollars for a year, I woudl give it back in full amount no questions asked (unless for example, my family was starving and I needed food, etc..taking only what I need).

However, I think I realized like when I was very young, that the guy next door will most likely kill his own grandma for 20-100 bucks. I am an optimist with myself, but I guess you could say I am pretty cynical of other people.

Hypocracy stems from the temporary time-out that dogs get, in order to catch another dog off guard, and then hump quickly the butt.

Dog eats dog originates as a paradigm basically because there are a limited amount of resources on Earth. There arn't enough jobs, academically prestigious institutions, woman, etc...to go around. This forces people to compete, and in the process, most people will be amoral, deceptive, and pretty much ridiculously despicable to get money, status

I think this guy likes me... he's been texting me everyday, asking me out all the time, and saying he wishes he was hanging out with me... he always texts me the next day and says he has a great time when we hang out.
So, how do I know if he wants a relationship or just something casual? I'm really bad at reading guys. I have been out of the dating scene for a while after a long, serious relationship and I've just recently put myself back out there because I am ready. Any advice is appreciated! Thanks!

Help. Being a lazy untidy male who now lives alone as my ex wife threw me out and my mum is dead, I am not used to using hoovers at home but I have got a Henry vacuum cleaner and the seller sold 5 bags with it. But after the first bag got full and I dumped it I found it impossible to find out how to insert one of the new bags being thick about that sort of thing. So as my house was getting a bit grubby I therefore left the bag out and switched on and found it worked brilliantly! I note on another recent Yahoo Answer some said emptying bagless vaccuum cleaners is bad news But when emptying time came around I put a boiler suit on and took it outside and empted it in bin and then had a bath which I needed anyway then carried on using it. So no problem whatsoever. So is there any reason why I need to put a bag in? I mentioned it to somebody at work who thinks that if you use a Henry without a bag it will blow up? Is that true?

I have noticed that most women get suspicious when you give them a nice compliment and think you have other intentions. When a woman compliments me, it's usually followed by "I'm not trying to hit on you, I love men."

I, personally, love and appreciate a woman's body, although it doesn't do much for me sexually since I want a man for that. I love paintings that highlight a woman's sensuality in a tasteful way.

I am not a card carrying member of the Mormon Church but I like certain Mormon traditions. I especially have a strange desire to wear "Temple Garments." I don't know why but it is something that is often thought of as off limits to average folks so I guess to most of us it is a fetish or something.

Where can I get a catalog with the latest Mormon temple underwear? Better yet where can I get my hands on some of the temple underwear? Are there local stores.

Why should we just sit back and allow Communist China to take over the free island of Taiwan? I think this would also embolden Cmmunist China to become a super power even faster.

the block feature on YA? I mean in real life, one has the right to choose whom one deals with. If I am not comfortable with a person for whatever reason I just avoid them. I think it's my right. As long as I don't insult or provoke anybody, why is it cosidered by some here on YA to be such a crime to block other users? It's my right to choose who views and answers my questions, just as it is their right to prevent me from veiwing or answering their questions. What is your opinion concerning this please, and why?

might sound dim but having never flown would someone kindly tell me how the system works to get you from the entance of the airport to the plane? whats the first thing i do? check in? can i use any desk or will i have to go to a certain one? do they give me boarding passes? what do i do next? where? do you get called to check baggage in or do you do it at the check in desk? when will bags be checked and get through security etc? also where will the shops be after you go through security or before? do we sit and wait once thorugh security for flight to be called or will it be a seperate area and obvious that our flight is bording? how does the seating thing work, do you jump on the plane as quick as poss to get seats together? sorry lots of q's much appreciated. its gatwick btw
