Its a dog eats dog. I personally am not a dog eats dog man. I am the type of guy, that if you gave 100 million dollars for a year, I woudl give it back in full amount no questions asked (unless for example, my family was starving and I needed food, etc..taking only what I need).

However, I think I realized like when I was very young, that the guy next door will most likely kill his own grandma for 20-100 bucks. I am an optimist with myself, but I guess you could say I am pretty cynical of other people.

Hypocracy stems from the temporary time-out that dogs get, in order to catch another dog off guard, and then hump quickly the butt.

Dog eats dog originates as a paradigm basically because there are a limited amount of resources on Earth. There arn't enough jobs, academically prestigious institutions, woman, etc...to go around. This forces people to compete, and in the process, most people will be amoral, deceptive, and pretty much ridiculously despicable to get money, status

and prestige.

There's the old saying, if your a cynic before your 18, you have no heart, if your not one by 40, you have no head.

However, due to this world, how should the general orientation of the 'controlling' or overwatch force, such as the goverment, be....what role should a system of allocating resources be....who should we prize and why.

I personally have looked for those people that are similar to me....you can tell when you have a REAL friend, when you can give him half of your money and not spend it. I only have one person in mind which I would even concider doing such...and then again, I would have to think about it.

This is where you see that the goverment EXPECTS a dog eats dog paradigm....If it was an ideal world...people would give each other their money in order not to get taxed, and then get it later. This does not happen, basically due to the issue of trust. We see this proven in the way the goverment EXPECTS the general population to behave, and therefore fixes incentives, penalties of taxes based on this model. Is this the correct model?

or what moral system should we abide by in order to allocate resources?

I prize people that are decent. Should we entrust our resources to those most noble amongst us?

Either develop a taste for dog or do the right thing and surprise people. I have to live with myself and have respect for myself. I've never been the type of person who has tried to take advantage of others. Do you respect the people you are talking about? Have you met someone you do respect? There are still decent people out there. Look for them.

Well, you said it yourself. It is a dog eat dog world. Just like Darwin. Its survivial of the fitest. If it is to further you and your family; you would be willing to do what ever it takes.

I have the same feeling sometimes, so, yes, I do understand you. It is like that many people are ready to sell their mother, their world just for a bit of prestige, power, money, recognition, but fortunately there are others which are not like that. Until the world has these others in it, it will not be a dog eats dog world.
