I have primary residential care of my son. He visits his Dad once a week and every other weekend. And whenever his Dad asks for more time. I want them to be close. My ex cheated and left for the other woman and moved in with her almost immediately. She is in my son's life and I have accepted that. However, last night my son told me that his Dad's girlfriend may start picking him up from school. I do not agree with this plan. My ex has to pick him up once a week. It gives him a chance to touch base with teachers, friends, make sure homework is being brought home, deal with any issues, etc. I think he should make the effort. It feels as if this is another parenting responsibility he is leaving to someone else. What happens if homework is not brought home or there is an issue to deal with? She cannot make parenting decisions which means I will have to deal with it the next day. My ex and I agreed we would handle the parenting of our son. Is picking kids up from school parenting?

Does anyone else like the movie Titanic?

When my friends ask me what is my favorite movie, I tell them Titanic. Then they all tell me its such a boring movie and its too long. I really like the movie and I think Leonardo DiCaprio is really cute.

What the Heck?

I was engaged, and got pregnant. Shortly after I got pregnant, we had some difficulties, with him lying to me, and I didn't feel I could trust him. I told him we needed time apart. He said he didn't want time apart, that he loved me, and wanted to be with me, and only me. He says that he's heartbroken, and wants to work things out, but he won't contact me. When I contact him, he gets angry, and shuts down. Now he won't return my phone calls, im's, text messages, nothing. I'm just starting my 5th month of pregnancy, and he doesn't seem to care about me or the baby. (Having kids was HIS idea, but he never really showed any kind of emotion about it when I got pregnant.) What should I do? Should I write him off? I do love him, very much...

Another misunderstanding...?

Before taking my wife to work, I asked her if she needed any money to get drinks and/or snacks while she was at work. She said no, even after asking a second time to reassure that she didn't want any money. After dropping her off, on the way to my job, I stopped to get a cup of coffee. Later, while picking my wife up, she stated she was hungry. I stated that I was hungry too and that the only thing I had all day was the coffee from that morning. Now my wife is calling me selfish because I used the money I offered her (yet she refused) to buy myself a coffee. She said that I didn't think of her and that she expected me to bring her a coffee as well, even though she can't have drinks while working. She then changed her story about refusing the money, saying that she didn't say no to the money, only to the example I gave of possibly using it to buy a soda or snack while on her break.

Before buying my self anything, I offered her the $, so am I really being selfish here?

Error Message - Unsure What It Means?

I have been having problems accessing some programs. I keep getting the following message "Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item". I do not know what it means or how to fix it. Any ideas would be grateful. I had to do a repair of XP, due to viruses and the message has been coming since. People keep telling me to run scans - done them, clean; go into safe mode - do not want to do anything without assistance, in case I do something wrong. I do not know what to do.

How do you say this in Spanish?

Can you translate "I can't eat foods containing wheat or dairy. They make me very sick." And for extra credit, and my appreciation, how about the words "gluten" and "casein"? These are specific protiens I can't eat in the wheat or dairy. Thanks! Going to Mexico and have to be armed with this important sentence!!

How many ppl actually had bad karma come back at them?

Bad karma prevents me from getting revenge on those that have wronged me. But is karma for real? What about murderers that never get caught? What about corporate execs that step on ppl, cheat and embezzle and live a luxury lifestyle? Have any of you actually have bad karma come back at you?

a question about violence and sex on Television(TV)?

As we all know, there are many parents(Especialy from the beaver times, who remember's that? watched it as a kid.) But things have been going a bit overdone, i admit. yeah. the sex ads(Tampons,Condoms etc.)The "Sex and the city" show. But my question is simple enough.

Why? Why does it matter? Why do we hide such Natural acts from our children? Because you think it de-sensatize's them? I just don't get it. its like the Stigma against naked peaple. everyone has to wear clothes, why? it hides the natural. i have been thinking hard about this. And it just doesnt make sense. We hide these Natural acts(Kissing, sex etc.) from our kids. Why? to protect them? from what? knowledge is power. i mean seriously, is it best for them not to know anything about sex until *insert proscribed age*? or for them to know about sex and violence and know how to react to such things? and how to behave in such situations? i bealeve that would be better then just blocking them from such things all together.ye?

Why are people so uneducated about anabolic steroids?

I am always reading and hearing people say that steroids make a man's penis smaller. Number one, the penis is a muscle and anabolic steroids make muscles bigger with training and proper nutrition. Actually your testicales are what shrinkes not the penis because you are giving your body synthetic testosterone that is normaly produced by the testicles. Your LH in your brain tells your body to stop producing testosterone at its normal rate. Just wanted to clear that up for people.
