What's wrong with storylines around WRESTLING?

What happened to the old, but still good, "I am a better wrestler than you" storyline? Isn't that ultimately what being a professional wrestler should be all about (storyline-wise)? How about wresting with main storylines around titles, and not just having the champion rival one person at a time? I know they have to bring in new fans to wrestling, but storylines Maury Povich would use is not what wrestling should be about.

The WWE is starting to go very downhill recently, and I think its because of their storylines. They are just so lame, its annoying. No one gives a rats @ss who Vince McMahon's son is. No one cares about John Cena's dad. No one cares about Teddy Long and his fake @ss heart attack. I would love to see more emphasis on wrestling, but I don't think thats going to happen anytime soon. On a 2 hour episode of RAW, we usually only end up seeing what? 4 matches at the most? Because instead of wrestling, we have to see Cena come to the ring and make lame jokes, or Hornswoggle run around like a 2 year old (when we all know hes 20..). I hope WWE will realize that most people would rather see WRESTLING not stupid storylines.

Things I would change about the WWE:
1. Reintroduce stables and managers.
2. Unify the roster
3. Fire worthless talent (Starting with Extreme Expose)
4. Remove some of the belts
5. Make the tag team and cruiserweight divisions legitimate again.
6. No more Diva search contests
7. Fire the creative writing team. Make the storylines actually about wrestling again.

The WWE has always put more emphasis on story lines more so than any other promotion. That's why it's called "sports entertainment." That being said, more emphasis on wrestling is always a good thing.

The most emphasis should be put on WRESTLING !!!

The storylines will be better once someone puts more THOUGHT into them.

I would rather see a 10 min Triple H match , than see a 10 min Triple H / Vince McMahon skit.

Here come the thumbs down, but they could get rid of the Divas. The kiddies can get their T&A on the Disney channel these days. They don't need it on wrestling. McMahon should start his own reality show if he's insistant on promoting himself in that form of entertainment. Keep the fueds, lose the fake retarded charactors, kings, leprechans, and the like.

I stopped watching wrestling, because of the phony story lines. If I want drama, I'll watch the soaps.
