Did the Bible predict the future and if so, how?

I keep hearing it had predicted the future and i wanted to know what it predicted.

Ezekiel, writing around 592-580 BC, foresaw the destruction of the city of Tyre. This happened during the reign of Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon. Later on, Alexander the Great came and used the ruins of the mainland city to build a roadway to an island. The same prophecy also said that where the city once stood, fishermen would spread their nets, but the city would not be rebuilt. (Ezekiel 26:3-21) Modern Tyre is not built where the old city stood. Even today, some 2,500 years after the prophecy, fishermen spread their nets on the rocky shore. (Ezekiel 26:5,14)

The prophet Nahum, about 640 BC, wrote about the destruction and desolation of Nineveh. He prophesied that this capital of the Assyrian empire would be destroyed by an overwhelming flood. (Nahum 2:6) He also said that the destruction would be total. (Nahum 3:15) In about 612 BC, an enemy attacked the Assyrians outside Nineveh and the city was so completely destroyed that its ruins were not even located until the last century, about 2,400 years later.

It's predicted several things that have already come true. Some highlights for the future:

1. Russia, Iran, and other islamic countries will unite to try and wipe out Israel, but they will end up being the ones wiped out (Ezekiel 38-39)

2. There will someday be a one world government run by a dictator who demands everyone worship him. He will require everyone to take a "mark" on their hands or foreheads, without it they won't be able to buy or sell.

3. In my opinion (and believe me I hope I'm wrong) Rev. 18 paints the picture of the US being destroyed in a surprise nuclear attack, most likely from Russia.

Some say it's a strech some say it is dead on.
