I was having a conversation with someone who's opinion I respect and this question entered my mind. I will defend a persons right to offend me (by doing things like burning a flag etc...) but will they defend my right to be offended by their actions? (speaking out about my feelings on the matter) or is free speech only a one way street...

I have a great business idea, but I want to know if I should get a business degree first (or just some courses), or if it's a waste of my time. Also I could get the degree, then work for some time building capital so I don't have to borrow too much money. On the other hand, I feel like I may be wasting time taking theoretical business classes and spending money in college...

I was doing food tech. and i'd just made something. i felt ill though, i told the teachwer. then the other teacher said, "it's you're turn to wash up the pots."
I ended up crying and i burst past her cos ppl was staring at me and waited outside. She was nice to me but then the head came and said,
"What are you doing? you being mardy today?"

Since when have I eben mardy? i've never been 'mardy' in my life, not at school anyway

was i rude to walk out like that?

If a woman is abused, raped, lied to, lied about, cheated on (but partner claims he didn't do it even when there were pictures) for 10 years & her husband is just starting to take medications that seem to work but every time he gets angry, cranky, or raises his voice, her fears that never leave become overwhelmingly strong. She married her rapist after several years, she spiritually thought it was the right thing to do. She hurt her body too many times & her baby died & though doctors say it was an infection, she blames herself. Since the abuse just recently stopped, her life is still filled with fear of further attacks & blame, anger, resentment, depression over a ruined life lost, time wasted. and also, what makes it acidic or basic? my teacher says if the oxygen is formed with a metal it is basic and a nonmetal it is acidic, but what if you have like PbHO or something with a metal AND a nonmetal paired with oxygen? im so confused and cant find help in my textbook or online :(

I have had 4 meetings. One for the initial contact. Two after interest was shown by the employer. Three after taking a test for the job, (I passed) and four a long interview about the details and responsibilities of the position. An indepth application packet was then sent out of state to corporate headquarters for processing and appoval. That was 3 working days ago. I hate being so close but just don't have it etched in stone, ya know what I mean?

Anything that has to do with my more "private" parts of my body she freaks out and blames it on sex and pregnacy.
