to make it easy put all as a common denominator, 24
1/6 5/8 1/4 5/12 1/2 7/12 2/3 3/4 7/8, with den. of 24 looks like:
4/24, 15/24, 6/24, 10/24, 12/24, 14/24, 16/24, 18/24, 21/24
need to move 5/8 to after 7/12, then it will be from smallest to biggest

No. Just looking at it, I see 5/8 (which is bigger than 4/8, which is 1/2) to the left of 1/4, and I know that's wrong.

You should give all the fractions the same denominator, then compare numerators.

Think of those as fractions of a dollar, 100 pennies. You'll do better.
