I find the whole story just so distressing. The sister bless her soul has to live with the horror of what she saw, if she hopefully makes it.

I work in a Crown Court and unfortunately, most children who are found dead have been killed by either their Mother or Father. This year so far has been the worst and it's becoming all to common.

I just have no idea how a parent could kill their child. The ones that torture and systematically abuse their children know what they are doing but as for the ones who strike out suddenly such as jumping from hotel windows or stabbing their children must I assume have some kind of short circuit go off in their brain.

Its terrible news. I heard about the police being around there just as they were starting to report it on Sunday. Apparently it was something to do with the guy finding out that his wife/partner was having an affair. The daughter hasn't been told yet as she is in a bad way. Lets hope she will be ok.

Absolutely horrid. I will never beable to understand how parents can do this. It happens so much and well I frankly get sick of hearing the mental illness crap that probably caused the parent to do it. I know many people who suffer different types of mental illness and would kill themselves before they would ever harm a hair on their childs head.

yes see what you're saying there, infanticide is much more common than people care to realise as it is such a shocking reality. Something like this forces us to face up to how barbaric we can be as a species. Poor poor kids and as for the mother I can't begin to imagine. Life has got to mean life in these cases.

It is a selfish act, just cos the mother had moved on in her life. The man deserves all he gets, hope the other cons in the prison give him a good hiding. That poor boy, i just hope he wasn't in too much pain. I have 2 boys and if their father ever harmed them in would personally do so much damage they would have to sedate me to stop me going mad!!Howeve i;m glad my children have a loving father who would actually die for them, just ashame that poor child didn't have the same!!

A terrible tragedy, i used to live 5 min's away from that area, it was a well respected place to live withvirtually no trouble, film crew's used the area many times for films and tv series,
apparently the father had recently split up with the mother, so it seems a sad case of " if i can't have you no one will" but how he could bring himself to harm his kid's is beyond me! very sad.....

Very upsetting. A defenceless child submitted to this and his sister. God Rest his soul and I hope his sister recovers. What a sad, sad world.

thats so upsetting and frightening the fact the childrens own dad did that, it sounding like some kind of revenge because the mother was moving on with her life.
