Do you think some kids with LD sould not even go
to a community college? In 1979 I tried to go to
Columbus State Community College and took remedial courses in reading and math.I had trouble
and when I disclosed I had LD,The instructor told
me to withdraw from her class and drop out of CSCC. Said I had no right coming to CSCC.
I told higher up about what happened,I was told
it was the college's policy to discourage LD from
attending CSCC. They never will be able to do
college level work let alone have a real job.
I will never give that place my business again.
I was in sped all through school and no one ever
taught me how to read well,do math,study for tests
etc. Why do I blame myself? It is not my fault I had
LD. Do you think I had the right to take the remedial
reading class?

I am considering selling a beach house and buying another beach house. I would realize about a $500K capital gain on the house I sell. If I buy another beach house with the proceeds of the sale, will I be liable for capital gain taxes when I roll the money into a purchase of like kind?

I will start it off:

A Japanese tourist hailed a taxi in downtown Cairo and asked to be taken to the Airport.
On the way, a car zoomed by and the tourist responded, "Ohhh! TOYOTA!! Made in Japan!! Very fast!"
Not too long afterward, another car flew by the taxi.
"Ohh! NISSAN!! Made in Japan!! Very fast!"
Yet another car zipped by, and the tourist said, "Ohh! Mitsubishi!! Made in Japan!! Very fast!"
The taxi driver was starting to get a little miffed that the Japanese made cars were passing his Fiat, when yet another car passed the taxi as they were turning into the airport.
"Ohh! Honda!! Made in Japan!! Very fast!"
The taxi driver stopped the car, pointed to the meter, and said, "That'll be LE 250."
"LE 250? It was so short a ride! Why so much?"
"Taxi meter. Made in Egypt. Very fast."

Time is really a mystery its not even a thing. No one has ever solved the puzzle of what time is, exactly. And so if you get lost in time its like being lost in a desert, except that you can't see the desert because its not a thing. And this is why I like planning thins because then I won't get lost in time.
