Because Republicans are never wrong...and can't do anything wrong...hence why they have a "wide stance"

Name calling should end about the second grade.
In all this, lets remember that the only Congress has gotten through an obstructionist Republican block is a negative nod to free speech. How do they reconcile that with the Constitution they are sworn to uphold? How dare they pull this bit of nonsense the same day the president tells us he is going to pull insurance coverage from millions of kids because he can't have his way.
He has no shame left.
Colin Powell also served his country, he also lied at the UN.
I'm more interested in knowing if Petraeus also lied to Congress. If the moveon.org ad was truthful, then the truth is a powerful defense. I'd hate to think someone that high up in the military was shading his testimony, then hiding behind his uniform.

Both are simply attempts to get a point across with sound byte.
At least moveon.org actually explained their position in the NYTimes; whereas, the far right simply name calls (Hitlery) with no argument or basis to back up their views.
And to get to the core of your question, once again you see the conservative's double standard in play, '... do as I say but not as I do...'

Neither is OK but there are some standards that you accept when looking into careers. A doctor afraid of blood is not in the right field. However, a car mechanic getting bloody? That's just not right.
We have two careers here. The first one is a politician. This comes with character assasinations and the like...(IE the doctor). The other is a military officer that comes with doing things by the book, risking life when needed, and loss of freedom (IE the car mechanic). I don't expect a senator to loose her life for country.....I also don't expect a military officer to be slanderred.

Neither is OK. Intelligent posters can make their point without resorting to adolescent name calling. If I were going to criticize Gen Petraeus I would call him by name and be specific about why I didn't like him. I have been known, believe it or not, to have specific criticisms of some democrat politicians, but I try not to lower myself to the playground level when doing so, although I do enjoy a little satire and tongue-in-cheek now and then. Those who resort to childish and disparaging nicknames immediately identify themselves as lightweights in this forum. They should be treated as such.

Hitlery....That's funny. Hadn't heard that one yet. Don't know in what context it was stated or who said it, but there is really no basis to compare her to Hitler. Come to think of it....maybe there is. He was a fascist dictator and she would most certainly be a socialist dictator. As far as "Betray us" being more offensive, Moveon.org being far-left as they are, are trying to denigrate our troops who are over there fighting for US! Hitlery was probably just a play on her name. But that is a good one. Hitlery......LOL!

The one-sided idiots here will tell you that they haven't taken out an ad with "Hitlery" in it - so SAYING it is OK, I'm sure! (he said sarcastically).

MoveOn and Hillary Clinton are two separate entities... whether conservatives like it or not...
The problem with conservatives is that they worship the military SOOO heavily that it turns everyone else into a kind of collective enemy in their minds.
I never thought we would elect someone to office that says things like "You're either for us or against us... and if you're against us, then leave the country."
That is the definition of fascism... not Hillary's healthcare plan.

Because this is a forced upon us early Presidential race. Anything goes. You will not see the TV ads bashing one another until the end. Now it is subliminal messages and under ground support to degrade Republicans thru Bush. He is not even running but the attacks are similar as if he was. SO, you need to expect some verbal hits the other side can handle. She is a personally driven, bias individual. Her experience shows us no change. You sling dirt expect a mud slide into your own camp. She hangs with thieves the like of Hsu, she will be treated as such. And the list goes on. She can never shake the baggage she brings by sticking with Bill. To most it was no act of God or prayer but a carefully manipulated plan to continue the power they crave. WJ could not get a law passed to extend Presidential terms and now he has Hillary.
Hitlery is more about some payback and her mannerisms we have all seen exhibited in my opinion. She leans more toward Communism, divide & conquer, than this yet the propaganda machine compares alright. She blames the Republican machine for all kinds of things. Yet can not see SHE is just as guilty of failure, if not more so than them. Thank you.
*What is that one about glass houses? She is thick into this mess and deserves the consequences.
