... I was absolutely sickened by it.
The fact that not only was that person allowed to post about Autism in the "disease" board, asking for a "cure" for it and talking about it like it was some sort of malady or fault..... but then the responses they got likewise spoke with exactly the same revoltingly prejudiced attitude.

As an Aspergian myself, and a representitive of the Autistic community... I request that something be done to change this kind of attitude. We are not disabled, diseased or otherwise malformed. In many ways, Autistic people are in fact superior to neurotypicals, and have capabilities the average person could never dream of. No self-respecting Autistic person would ever want to be cured of that which sets them apart from the rabble.

Autism is not a "disease" to be "cured"!
Autism is an improvement to be encouraged!

With Al Sharpton stating "You can't have two standards of justice..." , isn't he underminding the standards that were set up to protect the "minorities" that he is currently trying to defend? If this same crime were commited by a Caucasian, the tune would be a lot different...

Does anyone else disagree with what is going on? This is ridiculous. I'd like to start a website to NOT support the Jena 6. and would like to know if anyone is interested in supporting THAT. This is unjust, and this is stupid. Theyre throwing out the race card... when in reality it is 6 guys beating the crap out of one guy. if it was 6 on 6 then whatever.

and yes i do realize the white people hung nooses on the trees.. they could have beat up the black people who went near their tree.. but they didnt.. they showed a sign peacefully.

so please wear white today on 9 20. in your show of support for the poor guy who got the crap beaten out of him. :)

Imagine sending your children off to their public school. You think they are learning about math, history, spelling, etc.

Only later in the year do you accidently learn that each and every morning the teacher takes her Holy book from her desk and teaches the class a prayer. As they begin to learn it, they are required to recite it with her on a daily basis.

Through the year your child learns more prayers and can recite many by heart. This is the normal beginning of their school day. Say the Pledge, recite whicever prayer the teacher (holding the Holy book) picks for the day.

Would you be OK with that? It was done in the US for many, many years. It was done without regard for the beliefs of the students or their parents.

It was then (rightly) stopped and ever since Christians by the thousands have been claiming discrimination or that their god is being "removed" from the schools.

when will the black community and the MEDIA realize that these two idiots are not men of god or the people. they have been using the black community (mostly the poor, and criminal) as their stepping stool for years to attain a wealthy status. why does the black community continue to rally behind these men when the reality is that they are pushing civli rights for all races backwards. MLK jr taught us and preached to us to love, honor, and respect each other as we are all children of god. nothing else matters but that. so i ask again why does the black community stand behind these two men who preach hatred and vengence and say that they are doing it for god, and the black community? we are all humans and we will all hate and fight and have our own opinions because that is our nature as humans, but we also can compramise and see other points of view.

I was told that you have to make the enviroment right?? We wanted to get another beardie for our male Draco to have a buddy, and we were told that 2 males would fight and that a female would be fine to put with him, because they won't breed unless everthing is right?? I see question after question about some ignorant person stating that they spoke to 1 black person. Now all black people feel this way. Seriously, that is just ignorant and stupid. I know for a lot of people you are going to have to re-wire your thinking. In case you didn't know before, black people do not all think and like the same things. I just got a job offer but i'm not sure if i'm going to accept it. The main reason being it's 45 minutes away from my home. Not counting that i can ran into traffic, especially when coming back home. I'm not sure i want to have to drive 1h30 or more everyday just to get to work and back. What do you think and how far are you from work ?
