I corked it about a month ago. Tasted some last night and it seemed fine. Is it bad?

You did the right thing. Put the wine back in the fridge and it will last much longer. That works fine for both red and whites.
Guess taste will change somehow, but it will remain drinkable for up to 1-2 weeks if properly corked back.

As a general rule, red wine will last longer than white, simply because it oxidises (ie. the wine, on contacting oxygen, deteriorates in both aroma and flavour) at a slower rate. The more wine in the bottle, the longer it will last because there’ll be less empty space and, therefore, potential oxygen. So, if you have less than half a bottle of wine left, it’s a good idea to decant it to a smaller bottle (small Schweppes bottles are ideal). Keeping wine in the fridge (red or white) will also slow down oxidation.

The more full-bodied the wine (red or white), the longer it will last. Anything light, elegant and delicate – for example, red wines made from the deliciously sexy Pinot Noir grape of red Burgundy fame – are hardly worth keeping as they deteriorate so fast. Drink them in one go and enjoy them.

You can keep a medium- to full-bodied white, such as Australian and Californian oak-aged Chardonnay and Australian Semillon, for two to three days in the fridge before the wine totally oxidises, and a medium to full-bodied red like an Australian Shiraz or Australian and Californian Cabernets, for a maximum of four days.

You can buy purpose-made, inexpensive, stoppers called ‘corkies’ which, in effect, are a plastic stopper with a little lever on the side. I usually just put the cork back into the wine upside down.

In my house, it doesn't go back in the fridge! Drink and enjoy, even mix it with a drop of lemonade for that extra looooong drink. Corks are difficult to put back in the bottle so you can use some cotton-wool or tissue in the neck. One the air is stopped from getting in, it should last a week - but why wait?

You should never store wine in the fridge. After a couple of days the extreme cold destroys the flavor. It won't be dangerous to drink, it just won't taste very good. Live it up- buy some new bottles.

It should be fine. I work in a restaurant and although we go through it faster than that, I am sure it could last a few months. If it was a sparkling wine, it would be a different story - I drink those same night or get rid of them.

White wine will last 3-4 months corked in your fridge, red wines will last significantly less in the fridge...why you never find a half drunk bottle in my fridge! lol or maybe its because i love wine?!

Boxed white wine will last a month after you open it. This is because most boxed wines contain a vacuum-sealed bag, which prevents the oxidation that spoils bottled wine a few days after opening.

Not very long at my house! ;-)

Actually as long as it was corked very well and no air got to it, it will last a long time. You know it's bad when there is a vinegar taste to it.

probably...but if you often hold opened bottles that long you might want to spend a few bucks on a little device called a wine-vac.you can get them on amazon...i have them and they do work
