i was knocked to the floor and recieved a contussion of my hip.now the insurance company wants to pay for my bill and give me 500.00extra.should i ask for more or should i just settle for the money?

how much would a supercharger be to buy and install on a 2006 nissan xterra?

i need speed in a car. my dad has a nissan xterra that i could buy from him and its fairly quick for an suv but most of its acceleration happens at the higher RPMs in that car. so i figure if i could bring power to the lower rpms by putting in a super charger it could go from a 7.5 second car 0-60 to about a 6 plus some other upgrades that i may put on it.

my other option is just getting a used mustang GT or 350Z but i would be paying more since i could buy my dads xterra for cheap. probably less than 15 grand.

On The Road - What Annoys You?

Yes, this is a whine...

I don't know how many people are aware of this but I have to say something because I may be educating a few ;-)

You know those turn signals on your car?
Don't JUST use them.
Use them in ADVANCE of making your turn not AS you are making your turn. I'm not blind, I can see that you are turning it would have been far more helpful if you had let me know your plans beforehand.

When I pass you please don't take that as a personal slight. I am not attacking your manliness, or questioning your cars ability to stay on my butt for the remainder of my journey or challenging you in any way. I just needed to get past you for F*cks sake.

C-section reality.?

My OB and I have mutually agreed on a C-section. Can anyone tell me what they are really like during and after? How long does recovery take? Please be optimistic, I don't think I could handle any horror stories. LOL

How do I respond to my mom's comments about my weight?

A little bit about myself...I'm 5'5 and weigh 184 lbs. Now I think my average weight for my heighth is like 135-140 pounds or something like that. So yeah I'm over weight, but I tend to hide it very well. I think it's pretty safe to say that I'm not obese or anywhere close to it. I'm not depressed or ashamed of my body. Yes of course I would love to lose weight and be a little more comfortable especially when meeting guys like I used to be but it's not like i dwell on that 24/7.

My mother was not the skinniest kid either when she was my age. But I almost feel like she's disgusted with how much weight I have gained. She's always telling me that she's concerned with my weight (i went to the doctor and i'm as healthy as can be). That I need to go to the gym, that things (like guys) will starting happening for me, drink more water...yeah these are just regular concerns for a mother, but she's been doing this pretty much my entire life and i can't take it anymore! What do I do?!

Do you think people tend to talk faster if...................?

they have more SIBLINGS, or if they are more INTELLIGENT?

I'd like to think it's a little of both in my case...competing to be heard and smart enough to think fast enough to speak first. Lol. Oh, and it's not a nervous thing (I'm not a nervous person) I can slow my speech down to normal in a jiffy. Which do you think?

There's a guy in one of these Yahoo! Answers sections who keeps calling people "gay" and using words like "homo" and "homer" and what-not. He will probably read this and comment, since he likes to look at my profile and post on my questions. Doesn't something in psychology suggest that he might be gay... since he is trying to distance himself from a particular flaw?

TUCSON, Ariz. — Gunmen stopped a pickup truck full of illegal immigrants, shot some and took the rest captive Thursday in an attack that left at least three men dead and two people wounded, authorities said.
Authorities were trying to determine who the gunmen were and said some of the immigrants remained missing.
The men shot three people, one fatally, along a known smuggling corridor near Tucson, then forced several other immigrants in the group to leave with them, Pima County sheriff's officials said.
The bodies of two of those immigrants were found about 10 miles north in the cab of the pickup truck that had been carrying the group.
