Yes, this is a whine...

I don't know how many people are aware of this but I have to say something because I may be educating a few ;-)

You know those turn signals on your car?
Don't JUST use them.
Use them in ADVANCE of making your turn not AS you are making your turn. I'm not blind, I can see that you are turning it would have been far more helpful if you had let me know your plans beforehand.

When I pass you please don't take that as a personal slight. I am not attacking your manliness, or questioning your cars ability to stay on my butt for the remainder of my journey or challenging you in any way. I just needed to get past you for F*cks sake.

OK, your turn :o)

Everything you just said and also:

If you're in bumper to bumber traffic and you need to get over into the lane that i'm in, it's generally a good idea to put your blinker on so that other people KNOW you want to get over... don't just nose your car in front of mine because you're peeved that someone won't let you over. How are they supposed to know you want over if you DON'T TURN YOUR BLINKER ON?!?!?

Also, make sure you use the correct blinker according to which way you want to go. If you want to move into the left lane, don't turn your right blinker on and then swerve the left in front of me. I'm not expecting that because you had your RIGHT blinker on.

Also, make sure that if you did actually use your blinker for once to switch lanes, turn it off after you moved over. That way when someone like me comes driving up behind you, i don't slow down trying to let you over, only to have you putter along in your lane with your stupid blinker on, never moving over.

GET OFF YOUR PHONE WHEN YOU'RE DRIVING IF YOU AREN'T CAPABLE OF DRIVING SAFELY AND/OR INTELLIGENTLY WHILE DOING SO.

Also, pay attention to the road and other drivers around you. That means, if there's someone in front of you and you're driving along talking on your stupid phone, or looking for a CD, putting on make up, etc, and that person in front of you stops or slows down, you should probably be aware of that because at the last second, you're finally going to notice and then slam on your brakes at the last second causing me to have to do the same. VERY irritating, you know. Same goes for when you sitting at a red light. When the light turns green, it means GO. Not wait for Christmas.

When you're entering on the highway from the on-ramp, you can'tbe puttering along at 30 mph. Try to be going at least close to the speed limit on the highway....

When you make a right hand turn, it's not necissary to come to a complete stop and THEN turn....and when there's a turn lane, GET ALL THE WAY IN IT! don't leave the back end of your car sticking out into the driving lane, or only move your car halfway over the line of the turning lane and driving lane...

ok i think that's it... lol...

Signals are a big part of what really ticks me off. Also hate when someone slows down to 10 mph like two blocks before going into the turning lane. As far as the yo-yo driver goes I think that guy is just avoiding the police by not going faster than anyone else on the road.

Yes lack of turn signals, leaving on the lefthand signal for miles then turning right, tailgating then passing on a double yellow line on a blind curve only to slam on the brakes to make a right turn, pedestrians who walk across the street diagonally and slowly 10 feet from the crosswalk, people who don’t stop at stop signs ( a regular around here), people with power steering who can’t make a left turn without crossing the oncoming lane, people with little tiny cars who have to pull in and back out six times while parking at the store, people who look right at you as you approach and then pull out from a parking lot on the right 10 feet in front of you (had that one yesterday) I could go on and on.

I'm with you about the people who take it personally when you pass them. Those people are nuts...
Another driver I don't like is the one that, when cruising on the highway, they'll pass you, and then slow down, and then pass you -- I call them the "yo-yo". Apparently they don't use their cruise control on the otherwise wide-open highway and they can never decide what speed they want to go.

Of course, women do not drive like this -- they're too busy putting on their make-up, writing out the shopping list, thinking about what to cook when they get home that night, talking on the phone arranging their girl's gathering, adjusting your hair for the millionth time as if THAT would make it look any better and the rst of the cr*p you women do when you are behind the wheel..........you get the idea ?
