i need speed in a car. my dad has a nissan xterra that i could buy from him and its fairly quick for an suv but most of its acceleration happens at the higher RPMs in that car. so i figure if i could bring power to the lower rpms by putting in a super charger it could go from a 7.5 second car 0-60 to about a 6 plus some other upgrades that i may put on it.
my other option is just getting a used mustang GT or 350Z but i would be paying more since i could buy my dads xterra for cheap. probably less than 15 grand.

Unfortuately, it's not quite so simple as bolting on a supercharger. You'll have to make numerous modifications to make it work properly, and the cost to do so will run into thousands of dollars.
If you're really determined to have a fast car, you'd be much better off buying what you want already built. By the time you finish spending on the Xterra to make a supercharger work, you would have spent less buying something already fast.

4.0 liter engine has high compression so putting a blower on it means new pistons. High off the ground and driven fast also means chance of a roll over is greatly increased. Xterra is a capable off road trucklet with 4x4 of the year motor trend rating. The Pathfinder 2008 is available with the 5.6 liter Titan motor there you go... Speed needs to come with control get 350Z or Saleen Mustang or Rosch Cobra? Corvette Or a Used 2006 pontiac GTO Roar of a V-8 should be experenced once in your life before we run out of gasoline.

get the 350z to go fast.
the xterra will never be as quick and/or it will cost a ton to modify it. you might spend alot and it will just give you problems.
sell me the xterra cheap

they dont make turbos,super chargers ,or blowers for 2006 xterrs!Your driving a 5200 lb vehicle,youll never jusify the expense to do all the modifications
