On a cold winter evening, a group of friends, lots of good wine flowing freely, mellow jazz and Heart on the stereo, a roaring fire, a good soup or stew bubbling on the stove, great artisan breads, pungent cheeses, green salad with a dijon vinagrette and rustic apple tart for dessert.

Movie Night!! I have each couple bring a video of their choice and I set up a "concession stand" loaded with the movie favorites like gummy bears, flavored popcorns, M&m's etc... and for more filling foods we have all kinds of finger things..mini pita pizza bites, french bread slices with sauteed onions and melted provolone, wienie wraps (small hot dog or sausage slice wrapped with baked dough), veggie tempura and munch thru the movies!

For me, as long as I am surrounded by good friends with thoughtfully cooked and presented food, and a generous supply of good wine, I am VERY happy!
