I have a 28 gallon tank with 2 goldfish in it. They will be just about 2 years old here soon.

Recently while cleaning the tank, one of my "carbon cartridges" that are part of my undergravel filter came apart spilling little pieces of charcoal or whatever is used in them into the gravel. I cleaned it all up very quickly, but in the last couple of weeks the fish are becomming covered in black. It looks almost like they are wearing war paint on their bodies/face.

Are my fish in danger? They won't let me touch them to try and clean it off. Has anyone heard/seen something like this before??

And just for the record, my tank doesn't rely soley on the ug filter. I have a regular filter with the tank as well.

Any suggestions??

Unknown food allergy. Anyone had this too?

About once or twice a year, I get an extreme allergic reaction to food - but I'm not sure which food causes it.

After eating, my stomach will feel like a pit of acid, and then I begin to get a horrible rash all over my body. The rash will start under my arms, between my legs, and on my chest - and it'll eventually go all over. It is unbearably itchy - even in my throat and eyes. My heart will begin to beat extrodinarily fast, and I will become very nauseus. It feels like there is swelling under my chin and that my throat is closing up.

The only thing that stops the allergy is two Benadryl tablets.

The symptoms are incredibly awful, and I honestly think that without an antihistamine I would probably die.

I've recorded the foods that have given me the allergy, and they seem unrelated: macaroni & cheese, chicken burger, cocoa powder... so I figure it must be some contaminant.

Has anyone else had a similar problem?

My microwave is sparking and flashing inside ??

My microwave has just started flashing and sparking on the inside just around a little square silver cardboard looking thing which covers up a square hole. What i want to know is what is the little silver square cover and why does it cover the hole ? and ultimately why is it sparking ?

what are the bad effects of sleeping too much? is sleeping too much a sign of diabetes/other serious illness?

My sleeping habit is really not normal. Most of the time I sleep late midnight at around 2 a.m. and wake up early in the morning for my class. Because of this, I usually sleep upon arriving home every afternoon and wake up at night around 10 p.m. to eat, study and do other stuffs. After doing those things, I will sleep at around 2 a.m. One more thing, I'm into eating sweets, i just wonder if that is one reason of my problem.

My dog got hit by a car last night. ='[ I was driving back from my volleyball game and i saw cop cars and i thought they weren't at my house i got there and found out my puppy was hit and he died.=[ I am handling it really hard and i didnt go to school today, but i have to go to school tomorrow because i have another game, can anyone help me handle this better, so i don't ge upset in school, thanks so much :'[

I want to perm my hair not tight curls but loose curls...is that possible?

Everyone Protesting and saying Tasered student didn't deserve it?

He deserved every bit of what he got. All he had to do is give up the mic and get off stage. Then he wanted to act neglient in a resistant-passive manner. A passive resister can become agressive and violent in a matter of seconds. He was warned numerous times and continued to resist. I bet if he was black or Hispanic everyone would agree with law enforcement. You saw Rodney King pinned down with about 8 cops all around and still got brutally beaten. People then have the nerve to say he got what he deserved. This Tasered Student was trying to make a mockery of the law and got what he deserved. Stupid rich kids.

My husband was taken to jail for the wrong charges. What do you guys think about this?

He was arrested in our county while riding his motorcycles. The officer charged him with fleeing. He was out on the outskirts of town and rode a wheelie past him(which was wrong I know)but the officer didnt even turn around and chase him or hit his lights. He did however stop and talk to a guy my husband was riding with who was parked on the side of the road. Well the officer kept going the same way hed been going and my husband went the way he was going(opposite directions). My husband came back into town to head home and just happened to run into the officer and he pulled him over and said he was going to jail for fleeing. Well to me that doesnt sound right when he didnt run from him. He went to court today and the guy had come in and dropped the charges saying he'd made a mistake and was going to file them in a different county. Is this is even something he can do? What do you guys think?
