I am trying to get the technical details about sound system like what is ohm why some have 4 and some have 8, what is the significance what is frequency response etc .. any site on which the details available ?

I could not find a site that had all of what you want, you may want to look at a book for this one.

It is properly called sound engineering. The 4 ohms and 8 ohms etc. are impedances of the speaker coils and the frequency response depends on the inductance L and the ohmic resistance R.

Any good site on college physics (electricity) will have the information.
