honestly it depends on the person. If a person wants to change, they can only do that with God's help, and by that i mean receiving the gift of the holy ghost, with the evidence of speaking in other tongues. A lot of people in the world today beleive all they have to do is say hey God i'm sorry and that everything is washed slaight clean and all white, yet they go back and do everythng they did before, because they don't have God's spirit, if a person doesn't change, then he's not born again, and that just means he still needs God, Hope this helps. John 3:3 Jesus replied," With all the earnestness I possess i tell you this: UNLESS you are BORN AGAIN, you can never get into the KINGDOM OF GOD."
John 3:5-8 Jesus replied," What i'am telling you so earnestly is this: UNLESS one is born of water and the spirit, He cannot enter the Kingdom of God. Men reproduce human life, but the HOLY SPIRIT gives NEW LIFE from HEAVEN; So don't be surprised at my statement that you must be BORN AGAIN! Just as you hear the wind but can't tell where it comes from or where it will go next, So it is with the Spirit. We do not know when he will next bestow this LIFE from HEAVEN."

Born again refers to the experience of salvation: entering God's family through faith in Christ.
It may sound scary to some but, all it means is you believe so much in God that you are able to let him handle all of your problems you have turned your life over to let him guide. It's like you love him and trust only him w/ your life, because he has promised us that if we put our faith and trust in him we'll be with him forever.
Some people don't even realize they have been born again. It's not a religious service or anything like that. It's living day by day, not for anyone other than God. It doesn't mean you don't cherish your friends and family, it just means that you understand he is the only one that has our backs. If you have children you know what it's like to protect them, we have God and we are his children and he protects us. Who else knows our every thought or need? I may be ignorant at times, but I know he will help me through it, so I might not be next time.

No, but you are funny, or at least you think you are.

When a person is born, the spirit is dead. This is the birth of the flesh. When the person repents, and ask Jesus to come into his heart and life, Jesus quickens, ( brings life to ) the spirit. The Holy Spirit comes into the person and becomes one with the person's spirit. Then the person becomes a new person. Where he was seeing things carnally, now he sees them spiritually.

Cute question.

Nicodemus, on hearing Jesus talk about being "born again", said, "How can a man re-enter his mother's womb and be born again?" That's what you're talking about. Jesus was talking about something else: being born a second time, this time born of the spirit, not of the body.

You could say that we begin as ignorant of spiritual things when we're born of the spirit as we are of earthly things when we are born of the body. So, in a way, you are right.

ig·no·rant (gnr-nt) KEY

Lacking education or knowledge.
Showing or arising from a lack of education or knowledge: an ignorant mistake.
Unaware or uninformed.

When you are born again, you then start on a journey to discover & gain knowledge. So if using the definition of ignorant as unaware or uninformed then I'd have to say yes. You, however, seem to be mocking christians & I don't appreciate it.

that could be a question that brings out the main radical, no longer very knowledgeable, components of "born returned Christians," and the defensiveness of Catholics. what's mainstream between Protestants and Evangelicals would properly be a rely of semantics. no longer all Evangelicals are Fundamentalist. Fundamentalist take the Bible actually specially situations. what's a mainstream Protestant. some will say Methodist are, Baptist are not. whether, Baptist faith has existed longer than Methodism which replaced into in basic terms a circulate in the Church of britain on the time of the yankee Revolution. It replaced into out of the Methodist Church that the 1st Pentecostals and Assemblies of God broke out of. So the circulate John Wesley began while he left the Church of britain has had a larger result than what many people comprehend. The Baptist have a bent to be leery of Pentecostalism and speaking in tongues. In my place of birth my Catholic pastor for years dialogued with the pastor of an assembly of God Church. The pastor of the assembly of God Church, our Bishop, and the close by Rabbi all had maximum cancers and can placed their hands around one yet another and pray at the same time on the main cancers clinical care center. between the misunderstandings I examine in many replies is that we expect of we get to Heaven on works. No, we've faith faith in Jesus Christ shop us yet works are the manifestation of our faith and will strengthen the existence of grace. We do have faith that a guy or woman can lose the existence of grace and fall away. that is one section the place we disagree with the Baptist, yet no longer all Evangelicals or Fundamentalist. in many methods, we've greater in situation-loose in our ideals with relatively some Evangelicals than what we do with some whose worship form is quite comparable to ours.

Oh!Nicodemus?Did you not hear? "That one is born of flesh is flesh and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit." Even back then Nicodemus was asking how can these things be? Just like you. And just like you later in verse 16 Jesus said "For God so loved the world he gave his only Son..."
Check out John chapter three.

actually babies aren't ignorant, they're innocent, and to be born again means to come clean and admit your past wrong doings and be do so through Jesus Christ's name. but of course you're too ignorant to understand that.
