After my emergency appendectomy, my anesthesiologist said I was very difficult to intubate because of my arthritic cervical spine and slightly recessed mandible. My uvula and posterior pharyngeal wall were quite sore for a day or two. If I need further surgery, how can this be handled?

A son asks his dad the difference between "theoretically" & "realistically"....
Dad says thats a hard one, but i have an idea. Ask mum if she would sleep with the milkman for 1 million quid.....
Mum says yes.
Dad says now ask your sister if she'll sleep with the newspaper man for 2 million quid...
sister says yes.
Dad says well there you go son thats your answer, theoretically we're sitting on 3 million quid,but realistically we're living with 2 slags!!

I got a call yesterday from a woman who had a banded watersnake caught in netting over her pond, managed to untangle it and get it home, put some gentimicin ointment on it and set it up in a very simple, very clean cage with a -small- water dish so it wouldn't be able to submerge (No bleeding wounds, but some oozy-looking spots and some gouges on it's head and some areas where it nearly rubbed it's scales off.

Anyone else deal with anything like this and have additional ideas or suggestions on rehabbing?

Not to worry, once I see that it's looking healed up and has a few decent meals, I'll be letting it go somewhere where hopefully it will never see a net again.

I'm trying to let a user specify a comma-separated list of urls to my php function, but commas are a valid url character. How do I delimit the different chunks of urls? Are there any characters that are invalid that I could use instead like > or {?

The key is the character (or set of characters) must be something that you'd never see in an actual url.

Ok this is for my aunt and this happened to her today - she was driving her daughter to school and the car in front didn't move for a few mins because the woman was texting so my aunt beeped the horn. The woman began to stick to fingers at her and refused to move, my aunt stuck two fingers back an moved into the other lane to drive. The woman then drove side to her and began to take photographs on her phone of my aunt and her daughter, then drove in front with the gun signal in her hand and mouthed "your dead".

I think she's jsut a psycho but my aunt and cousin (who is only 11) are very shaken. What should/can they do?
