John 1:1 - "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."
John 1:14 - "And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth."
John 5:18 - "For this cause therefore the Jews were seeking all the more to kill Him, because He not only was breaking the Sabbath, but also was calling God His own Father, making Himself equal with God."
John 8:24 - "I said therefore to you, that you shall die in your sins; for unless you believe that I am He, you shall die in your sins."
Note: In the Greek, "He" is not there.
John 8:58 - "Jesus said to them, 'Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was born, I am.'"
Exodus 3:14 - "And God said to Moses, 'I AM WHO I AM'; and He said, Thus you shall say to the sons of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.’"
John 10:30-33 - "I and the Father are one." 31The Jews took up stones again to stone Him. 32Jesus answered them, "I showed you many good works from the Father; for which of them are you stoning Me?" 33The Jews answered Him, "For a good work we do not stone You, but for blasphemy; and because You, being a man, make Yourself out to be God."
John 20:28 - "Thomas answered and said to Him, "My Lord and my God!"
Col. 2:9 - "For in Him all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form."
Phil. 2:5-8 - "Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, 6who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, 7but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men. 8And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. 9Therefore also God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, 10that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those who are in heaven, and on earth, and under the earth, 11and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."
Heb. 1:8 - "But of the Son He says, "Thy throne, O God, is forever and ever, and the righteous scepter is the scepter of His kingdom."
Quoted from Psalm 45:6, "Thy throne, O God, is forever and ever; a scepter of uprightness is the scepter of Thy kingdom."

To Hannah J Paul: Without being lengthy again, you have to take verses like the one you cited along with the verses I cited. Clearly Jesus intent was to point people toward worshipping Jehovah God, as in the verses you pointed out. In the verses I point out, he is clearly shown as God! So...either he was crazy, a con artist, or exactly who he said he was. John 1:1 says it all for me. I'm not a bible scholar, but that verse sums up the Trinity quite well for me. The Word became flesh and dwelt among us.

The verses you have quoted provide ample evidence about the identity of Jesus. To these may be added a couple more:
"For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son" (John 5:22).
"I and [my] Father are one." (John 10:30).
The fact is both (with the Holy Spirit three) are co-equal, co-eternal but in His human form Jesus had limited Himself and He was having a tough time convincing people that indeed He was God in human form. That is why His question - "Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God". In other words, 'unless you accept me as God there is no point in calling me good since only God is good'.
This statement, instead of being a refusal to claim divinity on the part of Jesus, only affirms it.

Jesus is the Word, the Word is the Bible, the Word is living today. Jesus is God the Father, God the Father is Jesus, the Holy Spirit is the Father and Jesus, The 3 are all one and the same God with different roles/names.
So study the Word, and watch your words that come out of your heart for they say what you are about also. Words have power.
Positive words attract positive thoughts,
Negative words attract negative thoughts.
Jesus is the Word from the beginning - that is,
he is God. When was the beginning? read Gen 1:1 that explains another earth age. read Gen. 1:2 and on. the creation of this earth age.The bible also says wisdom was with God in the beginning.

If he don't believe that Jesus is God, that's his problem. This is the very reason why the Jewish leadership had him crucified, they said regarding Jesus reply that they sought to kill him, not because of the miracles he did, but because he claimed to be equal with God. This is what they couldn't wrap their heads around, and many folks have the same problem today. Ask yourself this, Who has the power to forgive SIN?? God, ONLY, right? Now, didn't Jesus openly state that he FORGAVE many a persons SIN. That in and of itself should tell most foks that Jesus absolutely is God in addition to the MANY scriptures in the New and Old Testament that say the very same thing. Look at John 1:1 & 14.

1 Timothy 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
Job 9:2 I know it is so of a truth: but how should man be just with God?...8 Which alone spreadeth out the heavens, and treadeth upon the waves of the sea.
Matthew 14:25 And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea.
Mark 4:39 And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
Psalms 107:24 These see the works of the LORD, and his wonders in the deep. 25 For he commandeth, and raiseth the stormy wind, which lifteth up the waves thereof. 26 They mount up to the heaven, they go down again to the depths: their soul is melted because of trouble. 27 They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wits' end. 28 Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distresses. 29 He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still. 30 Then are they glad because they be quiet; so he bringeth them unto their desired haven.

Considering the lengthy post that came afterward, I think that was a rhetorical question.
Be that as it may, can you help me please to understand Christ's words at Luke 4:8; John 17:3; John 20:17 and Revelation 3:12 in light of the scriptures you cited? What did Jesus mean when he said what he did in these four scriptures? How are we to understand them and reconcile them with the scriptures you shared?
For according to these, he is not the true God. He identified somebody else as the true God. He identified somebody else as the God we should worship. He identified somebody else as his God.

NOOO!!!! Jesus is God's son. the assumption-with regard to the trinity has an quite precarious beginning up, it replaced into presented to placate pagans, and replaced into no longer believed by the Israelites OR the early Christians. This explains why no longer something with regard to the trinity makes any scriptural experience, even contained in the later bibles that push this perception, with tampered scriptures, the context constantly provides them away. working example: somebody introduced out Jesus's words that he and the father are one, yet did Jesus no longer say that approximately him and his followers? are we to end that we are all component to a trinity? No that doesn't make experience and easily no longer what Jesus had in innovations. additionally please no longer the communicate over john 5:7, those translators took unscrupulous liberties of erroneously translating the text textile to help the assumption-with regard to the trinity. that is right, the defective translation "in heaven, the father, the interest and the holy ghost , and those 3 are one." is unquestionably spurious additions to the unique text textile. Please notice what the Jerusalem Bible's footnote has to declare. "those words are no longer contained in the early translation or contained in the superb MSS of the Vulgate itself. yet another source says it replaced into first recent in a treatise entitled Liber Apologeticus, of the, get this, fourth century.

Attn (heir of ALL things) Don't overlook v9a so you will not fall into error When you cite Jn10 :30-33, include chp 17 and you get the completeness of their oneness. attn. vs21 Truelly you answered your question. All these things about the "Word of God" and "Son of God" and all such terms that have been used to promote the idea of Blood Sacrifice for sins... it would be best to look at the whole thing in Christ's own words.... rather than through the "Pauline" point of view that is so popular today.
For a real eye opener on these subjects.. take a look at this... it sorts through all this confusion with a fun story.

Chew on This Greg..
Jesus said in prayer: “Father, . . . this is eternal life, that they know thee the ONLY true God, and Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent.” (John 17:1-3)
1 Pet. 1:3, RS: “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ!” (Repeatedly, even following Jesus’ ascension to heaven, the Scriptures refer to the Father as “the God” of Jesus Christ.
(John 20:17) Jesus said: “I am ascending to my Father and your Father and to my God and your God.”
NO MAN may see me and yet live,” says God. (Exodus 33:20)
What does the Bible itself tell us about God? It tells us that “God is a Spirit.” (John 4:24) A spirit is not composed of flesh and blood, nor of other material substances that can be seen or felt by human senses.
So, human eyes have never seen God, as the Bible testifies: “No man has seen God at any time.” (John 1:18) He is far superior to anything our eyes behold.
(John 5:19) : “The Son cannot do a single thing of his own initiative, but only what he beholds the Father doing.”
The Bible says: “Noah was a righteous man. He proved himself faultless among his contemporaries. Noah walked with the true God.” (Genesis 6:9) Of course, Noah did not literally walk with God, since no man has even “seen God at any time.” (John 1:18) Rather, Noah walked with God in that he did what God told him to do.

If you examine ALL of Jesus' words in the new testament and keep them within context, he himself makes clear that he is subordinate to his Father and that he is NOT God- While on earth AND after he was resurrected! I cannot believe what a foothold the trinity doctrine has on people despite what the bible itself teaches us! Here are some basic truths we learn from the bible;
1. God CANNOT die. Jesus died. Therefore, Jesus is NOT God.
2. God knows EVERYTHING. Jesus admits he doesn't know everything, only the Father (Matthew 24:36) Therefore, Jesus is NOT God.
3. God is not subject to anyone. The bible says that Jesus is subject to the Father (1 Corinthians 7:3). Therefore, Jesus is NOT God.
4. God was NOT created. Jesus was created (Colossians 1:15, Proverbs 8:22-31). Therefore, Jesus is NOT God.
These four things are undeniable, straightforward, and sound evidence that Jesus is NOT God
