In dining out with family, how do you split the tab if some members of the family have their significant others join the meal?

Is it fair to count the couples as 2 separate persons, or is it just being petty? Can it be considered unfair to the non couples members to cough up more than their share, especially if everybody has decent jobs. Obviously, children are exempt from this.

A close friend of mine has told me she regularly takes from 30- 50 2mg Xanax at a time. She is a single mum going through a rough time and I am worried she will OD. She is also taking Prozac and mixing alcohol to the mix to top it off. What can I do to help get her some help, and what would be the physical and/or mental effect this is having on her? Please help...

my friend Mary (not my best friend or anything, jus a friend) is friends with this guy named Chris (who i dont talk to that much, and im not really friends with).i play a part in our school band,but i know that chris also wants to play that part. since me & chris dont talk to eachother or anythng (not that are enemies or anything) i have a feeling he asked Mary to ask ME whether or not i would mind giving up that part for him.
this would mean that im not in the band AT ALL. he would like to be in this band coz he wants to actually study music l8er in uni.( i feel awkward in whatever i will end up sayin to Mary b/c i dont want to seem like a b**ch, right?
but @ the same time its my last yr in hi skool an the last yr in the band. & if Chris really wanted this, wouldnt HE ask me himself insted of gettin sum1 else 2 do it 4 him?
all i can think of is 'sharing' the part which wud work, but guys wouldnt want to do that!
any ideas of what i shud do or say?

from the avg of 120/80, my blood pressure was 120/100. I dont know why I have high bp, it doesnt run in the family, and i eat healthy. the only thing that was different was i had it checked the day after i came back from a 15 hour ride on the plane, therefore i got practically no sleep. also even before i was on the plane, i only slept about 3-6 hrs on avg, and i dont know why. however after i came back i slept for a good 12 hrs, and then i went to the doctors. i was also nervous and uncomfortable in the room. so is that why i have high bp, or just because i do?
p.s- i can feel my heart beating most of the time, it keeps me distracted and worried.

and don't receive any. I applied through FCCJ fl and I was denied any finacial aid due to them adding housing pay. I went to a budget counseler on my own and they said there is no way I can afford to pay for colledge now. I am married with 3 kids hubby is an E-6 thanks any advice will be great

Just wondering about this one - In the middle east; Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan etc the nationality is inextricably linked with the religion, ie: being a muslim, and anyone from these countries turning to a different religion would usually suffer the consequences.

Does that mean that British people are still regarded as Christian? The only reason I ask is that elsewhere, I've seen the statement that there are many Christians fighting with Muslims in Iraq.

That must mean then for all you that are atheists, wiccan, jehovahs witness or any other religion, you would automatically be classed as 'christian' whether you liked it or not.

In which case I can see why so many arguments are happening in the name of religion!

Or is a Christian a person who loves and believes in the one true God and has accepted Jesus as their saviour?

(Sorry if this is really long!!)
