You could try contacting:
-a local Realtor (many rent to own homes are advertised on the Multiple Listing Service)
-try: http://www.rentals.com/
-contact a local property manager

craigslist.org is a good site, although there aren't usually many homes available with these types of options - SO you have less to choose from and wind up settling. You also don't get much say in the purchase price, and often times pay more than the house is worth. If you plan is to rent to own so that you can fix your credit and obtain financing - you'd be much better served to just rent until you fix your credit, then get a traditional loan on the house of your dreams where you CAN negotiate on the purchase price and get a good deal.
Most owner financing still comes with credit limitations, so if you can't qualify for a bank loan, you can't always qualify for owner financing.
I'd wait. Buying a house is a great thing unless you have crappy credit and no money - then it's the worst decision you could ever make. You'll wind up stuck with high interest rates and an adjustable loan - if you don't refinance, you'll wind up having your payments increase so much that you can no longer afford to live there anymore. The house will be foreclosed on & your credit will be ruined again. It happens to a TON of people, it's all over the news!

Owner financing means THEY are the resources .
The owner will sell the home and be the lender .

When you look at FSBO or MLS listings ,
If there is an OWC in the info , it means the
Owner Will Carry , if he considers you qualified .

Ask at Real Estate offices if they have any OWC listings .
