my friend Mary (not my best friend or anything, jus a friend) is friends with this guy named Chris (who i dont talk to that much, and im not really friends with).i play a part in our school band, but i know that chris also wants to play that part. since me & chris dont talk to eachother or anythng (not that are enemies or anything) i have a feeling he asked Mary to ask ME whether or not i would mind giving up that part for him.
this would mean that im not in the band AT ALL. he would like to be in this band coz he wants to actually study music l8er in uni.( i feel awkward in whatever i will end up sayin to Mary b/c i dont want to seem like a b**ch, right?
but @ the same time its my last yr in hi skool an the last yr in the band. & if Chris really wanted this, wouldnt HE ask me himself insted of gettin sum1 else 2 do it 4 him?
all i can think of is 'sharing' the part which wud work, but guys wouldnt want to do that!
any ideas of what i shud do or say?
sorry about length, thanks tho

Well if you really want to be in the band don't give up your spot, im sure that you have worked hard and are a talented person, otherwise you wouldn't make it in the band right? so since it is your last year enjoy it don't.

Also you cant rely on just a feeling because if he didnt ask Mary or anything your gonna feel dumb because you put alot of thought into it and if you drop from the band it will be for nothing

and your right if this guy is really interested in music and wants you to drop so he can be in he should confront you and ask you himself, and if it so happens that you decide to drop for him that is also a wonderfully nice thing to do. But think to yourself would he have done the same for you, would he have dropped out the band so you can be in it?

but My answer remains the same if you worked hard, and enjoy being in the band then you shouldn't give it up considering it is your last year. your not gonna seem like a b**ch because you worked hard to get there right!

Put some more thought into it , don't feel guilt to say no and don't listen to your friends advice, she might try to convince you to do something that you will latter regret, think about if you really enjoy band and if it is something you want to do, would it be worth giving it up for some kid to take your spot?

Keep the part. If he is serious about a future in music, he will find his own path... This part is not going to make or break HIS future, but it will make a big difference to your final year in school...

Tell Mary how much you want to keep the part, and suggest that the dude check on-line for other informal bands that are looking for new members... Craigslist or something like that...
Have fun as a Senior!!!

Hey life is all about competition if he was good enough to get the part he would have gotten it. If he wants to study music and has to get a friend to talk someone into getting a part in the bang then he may be flunking out real early. Keep the part, you are not being a b**h you are enjoying something YOU EARNED.

You have worked hard to gain the position you have in the band...I say GO4IT! Your friend should not expect you go give up your position for another friend, she is not acting like a friend to even suggest such a thing! You enjoy your last year in school and good luck in all your endeavors!

1) He should ask you directly.
2) I think, you should remain in the band.
3) He should ask the Teacher, if he can play in the band.
4) He should ask someone else to switch with, you don't owe him anything...

My place of employment supplies us flu photos for unfastened each and every 365 days and the 1st 365 days i replaced into right here, my boss stops by ability of my workplace and requested me if I have been given one. I informed him confident, and in an attempt to make verbal replace I reported "i'm getting all my photos as much as date, even nevertheless i'm an person, because of the fact I fall on steel alot." All I have been given in the beginning replaced into this look of "boy she is strange" and then he says: "You fall on steel?"....and all I hear replaced into my co-worker (my companion in crime) death giggling from the subsequent workplace over!

If you are graduating this year and your grammar and spelling are *this* bad, I sincerely believe that you should concentrate on your school work and give up band! You must go to an (unconstitutional) government(AKA: public) school to be a high school senior and still be so illiterate!
