Not only will we able to do that. We will also get to travel on alien spaceships to places we can not yet imagine. Meet other beings from throughout the universe. Yes, one day we will go where no man has gone before. Trust me on this.

Given the rate of the advancement of technology, and human nature, eventually people will go there just to say they have been there. It is unlikely there will be much to do in the way of a holiday though, unless scientific research is what floats your boat! This, however, going beyond the moon for a holiday won't happen for hundreds of years. It is one thing getting the technology to do it, but another to make it affordable to the masses. Only the very elite will end up doing this, and for the reasons given above, just like these billionaires going to the space-station. Unless there is some giant-leap (and I mean GIANT!) I think Mars will be probably the furthest anyone will bother with for space-tourism. The distances are so large, and there are many things to consider journey-wise for the "holidaymakers". For example, enough provisions for the journey there and back (tens of months), washing, sanitation, being cooped in one big space-born big brother house! I've no doubt it will happen in some shape or form, even if is just going to the moon, but not for a very long time yet.

First time I've ever disagreed with LindaJune, as far as I know.
I am very much afraid that, as fast as we are using up the earth's resources, our little experiments with space exploration will not be possible very much longer. As a species, we will never possess the collective wealth to do the things you describe.
Sorry to be such a pessimist. Just getting old, I guess. But I'm afraid I'm right about this one.

Yes. It is a possibility. Some pretty dramatic advances in propulsion would have to be made but sure. That could be the future. Atleast that´s a future I would like. Spacetourism is already a reality and hotels on the moon are on the drawingboards.

Definitely, but I don't know that it will be in our lifetimes.
But the grandkids will have great spring breaks on Titan (around Saturn).

I think so. Who would have every thought that we could travel to the other side of the world as easy as we do? (not me personally, the furthest I've been is cornwall)
