I left 2 thick slices of cucumber in my tank last night to collect snails. I managed to collect 2. When I picked the cucumbers up, there were huge holes all over the cucumber. I have a molly, guppies, neon tetra, and swordtail. Oh, and 2 new otos. Could they be the culprit? I'm just very curious, because I might give my fishes cucumber once every week or so, and is it bad?

i am going to my first year of college this year. the college is 20 miles away so i will be driving there for my classes. i want to either buy a radar detector so that i may avoid a few speeding tickets or a gps system for when i travel i wont get lost. i can only afford one butim not sure what to choose please help me.

Hey people, My boyfriend of 6 months and I have been doing great, but we see each other just on weekend, which isn't bad, the weeks go by fast for us. He use to go out partying/dancing at bars in his town and we met and he hasn't been doing much of that, since he was working so much this summer. One of his friends who he partied with a lot before, is moving to the same town, same apartment building. Now I'm just worried his friend will want him to go out to bars on week nights when I'm not there. They use to go to college type bars and go dancing and drinking with girls before, I'm just sick to my stomach even thinking about my bf starting this up... I don't know what to do:( He knows I don't like him doing that, but I don't tell him he can't, i'm not controlling or nething, I'd just rather he not..It just makes me so nervous.. any opinions? Please nothing rude, I'm just pretty nervous about this situation...thanks!

My son came in the house to show me that he'd been shot in close range on the wrist and buttocks by the neighbor's bb gun. The thing is that the gun doesn't even belong to the kids that used it! These kids live across the street yet play with the bb gun owner who is 13 y/o as well.

His parents after the incident took the gun and put it up in the closet along with his other 3 bb guns!!!

I'm very upset and met with the culprits' parents to see how to resolve this. I told them that their children need some serious counseling but is that enough? They seemed very reasonable but the more I think about it, the more I want to press charges.

The 15 y/o boy is the 13 y/o girl's brother and he shot my son in the buttocks. I'm livid!

Any suggestions? Any legal suggestions?

I'm not looking for a prescription. I'm only able to get 6 or 7 hours sleep before I HAVE to get up. I have lots of things to do as a single parent and not enough time to do it in. I'm constantly tired during the day and the sleep I get doesn't feel like good sleep. I drink coffee throughout the day but it doesn't seem to help much. Ephedrine products went off the market a few years ago so I'm trying to find something to help me stay awake longer and be more alert. Please no speaches about needing rest and whatnot. I can't get any more sleep and the coffee isn't working. What can I do?

im the youngest of three. my parents dotes my siblings most.
whenever they wants, they gets. whenever i want, i get a scolding in the end . since i've no maid , my mom pushes me to do all the chores , my siblings and i always had a little quarrel as in pushing each other to do that work. about my sister , she's a spoilt brat , she often came home late , even those days weren't her schooling or working days, she had a baby when she's 16, yeah you know teenagers . even she had the baby , she and her boyfriend doesn't seems to take care of the baby . only my parents and her boyfriend parents only willing to take care. sigh. about my brother , he just sleep all around , wakes up and on his laptop and at night he would go out. im always being lingered in this kind of situation.
i had always have thoughts of running away or even suicide.
am i just useless to them. all i can turn to is my friends, well some of them. they would asked me to talk to them, but im scared. -sigh.

I have been working at a hospital since April and for some reason my boss really seems to hate me and I mean hate me like nothing ever. I have no idea what I have ever done to her, I show up for work on time and often leave late, I have showed up with strep throat, when a family member died. I dont take lunches or breaks. Every day she calls to tell me about something that I have done wrong, even though I do it according to procedure, and when I tell her that, she gets even more infuriated. When other people ask for certain days off, or to work certain shifts she tells them she will work with them. When I ask, she tells me that she cant do it and that I will have to go to a "relief" position. She writes me letters telling me why she disapproves of what I am doing job wise. I have never received proper training, I was just thrust into the job and left to sink or swim, and I do admit that I make mistakes but I learn from them and dont repeat them. What should I do since HR wont help me?

I am young but have always had dark under eye circles. However, whenever I have tried concealer under my eyes it sinks into the fine lines and makes me look like I have wrinkles under my eyes (without concealer, you can't see these).

What is a good concealer for someone like me? I need one that is cheap and I prefer liquid formulas over cream. I have oily skin, although it's not super oily under my eyes.

Hi my dear friends,

This time I am here on behalf of my life-friend. My friend is 23 years old and she is very calm girl. Yesterday night (05.09.2007), she over-heard the coverstion between her grandmother and aunty. During the conversation, the grandmother commented the my friend is not the original daughter of her parents. She had been taken from some orphanage. This made her heart-broken. As she entered the room they stopped the conversation, making her to believe that what grandmother had said is true. She is very very upset and she says she wants to meet her original parents. She lives far away from me (nearly six hours of travel). Through phone I convinced her at the most but she is not ready to hear all those things. But she is saying she will not ask this thing to her current parents. I even said it may not be true but she is going out of my hands. Now I fear, whether she will do something negative... Please advice me how can I bring her to normal.
