Fortunately you don't need to sky dive. If that were a requirement I would have never become an army medivac helicopter pilot.

No you do not. But to be honest with you, most Medevac Helicopter pilots are seasoned Helicopter pilots from the military. I would think without military experience it would be very hard. Medevac Pilots have to be extremely good, in high stress situations and be able to put the helicopter in places not meant for a landing.

No way! If you were a patient in a medevac helicopter, would you want the pilot to jump out?

I assume you mean helicopter pilot.

No, you do not have to skydive, nor do you have to be an airplane pilot first, nor do you need military experience. Although, you could certainly choose to do those things.

You do need to have a FAA commercial pilot certificate in helicopters, and most employers require an instrument rating and 2000-3000 hours flight time. This will typically take several years of experience after completing flight training.

bypass the two USN, u . s ., or USMC. The Marine Corps and army are plenty harder than the army to grow to be a helicopter pilot in although (do no longer could be an officer for military). The USCG won't practice you to be a helicopter pilot, sorry, no want for them to Oh and in case you're that smart, you'll be conscious of the adaptation between prevalent and excepted

No, I have never heard anything of the sort. I am doing some work for an air ambulance company right now and the helicopter jocks just laughed when I asked them if they had ever heard such a thing.
