I left 2 thick slices of cucumber in my tank last night to collect snails. I managed to collect 2. When I picked the cucumbers up, there were huge holes all over the cucumber. I have a molly, guppies, neon tetra, and swordtail. Oh, and 2 new otos. Could they be the culprit? I'm just very curious, because I might give my fishes cucumber once every week or so, and is it bad?

All of the fish in your tank are vegetable eaters. Some other veggies to try are Zucchini, lettuce and spinach. Any veggies should be "blanched",that is,dropped into boiling water for about a minute, then rinsed in cold water to stop the cooking.
Your fish will "graze" on the plant material all day.
Your pets will love it.

Basically every fish you have, but the neons will happily eat most veggies. The otos are plant eaters by nature, and live bearers need a fair bit of vegetable matter in their diet. I'd try zucchini, or broccoli stems as they have more vitamins than cucumbers. Note that it may take a day or so for some foods to soften enough to eat.
