Since you will be starting college, you will find yourself in new and different places. The GPS system will help you find your way.

As for speeding, it really doesn't pay. If you do the math, you'll find that you mostly take short trips and the time that you save by speeding doesn't really make all that much difference. What's the difference if you get there 30 secs later. Seriously, do the math on it. Figure on a 2 mile trip and the time it takes to get there at the speed limit and then figure it with going 15 over the limit and look at the difference. It isn't that much.

So slow down, and get the GPS and you'll know how to get where you are going and do it safely.

good luck in school.

Go with the GPS system. A lot of police use Vascar these days, which is not picked up by radar. Vascar is when they time you between the white lines painted on the roads. So, GPS would be a better choice and watch your speed.

i just got my navi =) and its cool cuz it says where there are restaurants or gasoline stations so thats pretty useful. My boyfriend has a radar detector and thats also useful!! he likes to go fast and after getting two speeding tickets he decided to invest in on one and he hasnt gotten a ticket so far! i feel like i need one lol cuz that way i know when there is a radar around! So it really depends on what u really want!

well, if you slow down you won't need the radar detector and you can get the GPS. Best of both I think.
