I passed my D grade in GCSE English Language 10 years ago. Also I have passed my HND in Business and Finance but was told that I need to improve my English Language. I am working in an office and when I come to do a letter, memo or reports I tend to copy words or sentences from the internet etc. I can read very well but lack of confidence in writing letters etc from scratch in work. Any ideas of how to improve myself?

I mean, of course you would be if you lost somebody... personally I didn't lose anybody or know anybody that did but I've been thinking about it alot and since I didn't really understand the magnitude of what was happening at the time (I was 11) and I feel so much empathy now even six years on.

I am really into martial arts and competitive fighting. I have only taken about 2 (official) years of Karate training, but I am very interested in ALL styles of fighting and martial arts. I recently bought my very first Shinai (Bamboo Kendo Training Sword), and I don't any training/practice sword techniques. I can't afford any books/dvds, or schools right now. Can anyone help me find something on the internet for free that could help me? (Preferably Visual Training I am a Visual Learner.)!

Hi! I just started dating an absolutely amazing man a little over a month ago. We've known each other through friends forever, but we've just never both been single at the same time in order for us to get together. While I was engaged...I was bartending and he asked me if my then fiance was ever going to marry me...because I was the type of girl he'd love to settle down with! That was three years ago...and now we're together. He's 33 and I'm 26 and when I'm with him...it's amazing. I can honestly say I think he's the man I will spend the rest of my life with. Ok...the question is...is it too early to tell him I love him?I'm 99% sure he feels the same. I'm just worried maybe it's too early, BUT...life is short. If I want to say it...and I know I mean it...why not?? I'm not one of those people that says "I love you" causually. I only say it when I truly mean it. So...do I tell him tonight...or keep it on the tip of my tongue for a few more months?? Thanks for your thoughts!

The Gaza militants like to shoot missles at Israel. It's lots of fun, right? And it's difficult for the Israelis to retaliate specifically against those who are doing the shooting. So what should the Israelis do? They could flatten the neighborhoods that host rocket attacks. This would take care of the problem but would also kill thousands of innocent civilians. So that's not very civilized.

So the Israelis would like to respond by cutting electricity to Gaza instead. Israel supplies about half of Gaza's electricity directly from its own lines. Kinda strange, huh? Supplying electricity (at this point basically for free) to your worst enemy. But I digress. Anyway, no, cutting the electricity would be totally unacceptable says Amnesty International. What does Amnesty International say about shooting rockets into civilian populations? You tell me, Amnesty International. What should the Israelis do?

Dennis plans to use 1150 ft of fence to enclose the rectangular pasture. One side borders a river where there is already a thick hedge it needs no fencing.
The diagram is a rectangle with width x.

a. let x be the width. write an expression for the length in term of x
b. write an expression for the area of the pasture in terms of x
c. suppose the pasture must enclose at least 60,000 sq ft. write a sentence (as a sentence in math not a sentence like this one.) relating the area expression in part b to the area the pasture must enclose.

I have a and b but i want to check them since they're related and i completely don't understand c, can you clear thing sup a bit for me?

The guy’s performance has been pathetic and he still finds some way to get into the Indian Cricket Team. In the last match, he bowled 8 overs and gave away 63 runs at an economy rate of 7.63. I mean every match he plays his economy rate seems to be over 6 and please don’t even bother thinking about his batting, once in a blue moon he would probably get a quick 30 or 40. I guess the selectors have just turned a blind eye on this issue. So people what are your thoughts about this?
