Cause for concern or no big deal?

If a guy's married or otherwise taken he should never hug another female with both arms around her as in a caress. It's too familiar...standing not face to face and placing 'one' arm around a person and hugging side to side is better and shouldn't offend anyone as long as it's 'quick'...Now, I'm talking about friends here, family is different, if she wants to give her daddy a big hug then get out of her way....

It depends on the person whom he is kissing/ hugging. Do you know them and how close is he to them? I would say cause for concern if he does this with his friends as for relatives no big deal. If he is hugging/kissing a female friend then it could lead to something else quickly. That's how relationships start out always remember that. So relatives ok and friends a big NO it's not ok. If he is hugging another female that means there is already feelings for this other girl.

If he is naturally affectionate, I do not see anything wrong w/it - especially if it's just a hug or a peck on the forehead or cheek. Of course, if the kiss seems a bit long, or if it's a full body hug, then yeah, I'd be concerned. Or if he hugs some friends, but not others whose friendship seems equally important...that would also be cause for concern. Otherwise, I'd just think of it as him being his natural, friendly & affectionate self. Oh, and if he does it in front of said wife or girlfriend, then there's definitely no cause for concern...rarely does a straying man flaunt it in his woman's face (quite the opposite, normally).

I think hugging or kissing on the cheek with family is okay. Such as parents, kids, cousins, yadda, yadda. Hugging a female friend is okay depending on how well he knows them. A b/f putting his lips on a female friend or a b/f having a female friend put her lips on him, not so acceptable to me, because I would never do that. It is too close in the personal space and I honestly don't see "why" it would even be necessary. Really. A hug should be good enough.

kissing on the cheek is a sign of greeting but the lips does not really land on the cheek. now, kissing a relative on the forehead is fine but kissing a friend on the forehead is a sign of affection.

If he hugs/kisses the female friends and female relatives the same way, then you shouldn't have a problem. But jealousy rears its ugly head again. Too bad. A lot of people do this kind of thing and then wonder why they are divorced after a couple of years of marriage or can't hold onto a man... jeez.

well theres a "polite" hug a quick 2 to 3 second embrace, or then theres the little odd lingering hug or the kiss that is a bit too long. It depends on the situation. I dont get jealouse easy, but when I do...yikes!

No cause for concern, this is considered good manners and a loving way to greet people of the opposite sex. Now if the kiss were a big smacker on the lips, then be concerned.

No big deal! I hug my uncles they kiss me on the cheek! I hug my husbands friends when they greet me! Nothing wrong. Stop being so paranoid!

It may be no big deal to him, but that would definately bug me. Tell him that it bothers you and ask him to shake female friends hands vs giving them kisses.
