I am trying to do more of a lifestyle change by eating healthier and I need to lose about 100-120lbs. Of course, I am used to eating unhealthy so it's really hard to resist temptations. So far I have been just trying to think aobut my long term goal and the thing i want, but sometimes I just can't control myself. Have any tips to help me say no to food (specifically sweets)?

Just say you find a woman and you connect with her and you really are attracted to her, but she travels by bus because she doesn't drive and the trip for you is 40 min on the freeway, how would you pursue that interest? or would you.......

I like a guy , not sure if he's interested, I have rare opportunities to see him, but have had some positive vibes of possible attraction on his part.. I don't know if the distance thing will kill any chances of at least getting to know him more...any advice would be really appreciated.

Can liquid helium be stored indefinitely in a sealed container? I need to permanently seal a superconducting magnet in liquid helium. A persistent current will be induced in the superconductor and it is said that it will persist forever, theoretically. This has an immensely important application. But I just want to ensure the container won't blow up, once it's permanently sealed. Also, what material would the container be made of?

I ran into an old friend who ive known since a very young age last week that i havnt seen in a few years, i spoke to him briefly and told him id post my mobile number through his door so we could catch up. Yesterday i bumped into his mum, who over the years has been very kind to me (she sent me a best wishes card after we crossed paths while i was leaving hospital after taking an overdose and i'd been honest with her about why id been in hospital). In conversation she told me that her mum (my mate's grandmother) had passed away. After offering my condolences i felt a bit awkward and speechless and so asked when the funeral is due, and then said that id attend. I'd known the deceased briefly while hanging out round this friend's house, but barely even had a conversation with her. So, im wondering how my old mate will react if he sees me at his grandmothers funeral... it feels a bit wierd since i barely knew his gran. Should i just send a sympathy card and not turn up at the service?

Do you agree "War is an obscenity."?!? Civilized societies like Canada, by definition, abhor obscenities. How then can Canada honourably, successfully fight a future foreign war.

So far, in Asia we joined the US in arms to protect South Korea, but refused to defend South Viet Nam.

In fact US Viet Nam era draft dodgers poured into our country like Mexican illegals in the states, and became our best "peace loving" citizens.

Lately, in the Middle East, we fought side-by-side with the Americans in the "war against terrorism", in the terrorist stronghold of Afganistan ... but we said NO to the Iraq "police action".

Example: Iran might be attacked any day now, by our friends south of the border, from bases in Iraq & Afganistan, especially if Iran's terrorist-supporting nuclear bomb develoment prevokes a justified pretext for war (apparently necessary) "shock & awe" US military response? Do we go too? Why or why not? Can we seperate ourselves from U.S. vital intrests?!?

Yes this was an issue on CNN headline news today.
Some fathers are outraged by this.
It seems lots of mothers do not trust men on relations with children. I actually think this is discriminant against men. It makes us feel isolated and unfit to be a parent or aquainted with children.
The child sexual abuse rate is increasing and many people claim that men are the primary suspect of sexual abuse on minors. This is not true for all.
A lot of women are misjudging men for being pedophiles or sex offenders and especially men who look different(facial hair, long hair, etc.)
I bet many mothers would think I am one myself cuz I have long hair and I am single. That is not true either. I like children but not in any sexual way. And it's making it very tough on men like me. Someone commented on this topic on the news site and involved Hillary into the whole hatred of men.

In summary, Are we teaching kids to fear all men?
To fear 48% of the United States population?

I have had a canadian drivers licence for 5 years which just expired 2 weeks back, and i am travelling to dubai on a visit for 2 months. I do have an international driver's license which is valid for another 8 months. Can i use that to drive in dubai? If i can, is it only rented cars, or can I drive my parent's car while i am there?
