I'm looking for opinions from both sides of the fence. This question is not just pertaining to guys I'd date, I'm referring to men in general (friends, co-workers, etc.):

From my experiences socializing with guys, why is it that most of them are either

1. Intimidated that my knowledge of classic rock extends beyond the "staples" (i.e. Stairway, Layla, Comfortably Numb, Sympathy for the Devil, Bo Rhap...you get the idea),

OR

2. The fact that my knowledge isn't enormous to the point that I can't name all of the songs of your favourite underground & virtually unknown 70s prog-rock band when I meet you, and therefore I am not worth the time of day

I've also met guys who also have this idea that girls shouldn't even LIKE classic rock, but that's a whole different ball of wax.

Why do you think it's so difficult for them to just accept the fact that, yeah, I really like & respect classic rock beyond the norm, but it doesn't consume my ENTIRE life (just most of it!)

I had a problem with my tuition last year. I was going to Loyola University in Chicago but because it was so expensive, even with Financial Aid, I had to get out. I switched to Truman College and last Saturday I registered late. They told me I had to pay today or I would get dropped. It wasn't like that in Loyola, I had all semester to pay. Now I have to pay the first day of school. My parents are going through financial difficulties and I couldn't possibly ask them to lend me the money since they don't have it. My financial aid hasn't come thru. I barely changed it last saturday and they told me that it hasn't been processed even though the customer service of FAFSA told me it would be processed by today! I have no clue what to do and I don't want to miss school! Please help me!

My partner and I want to have a child. Last time we had sex was Aug 2nd (long distance relationship). Few weeks after that, i took the pregnancy test and it came out negative. I had blood spots one day before my period for Aug started (aug 23rd). Now i feel so bloated and headaches wont leave me alone. I have been craving for food all the time and i am not normally like that. I have gained weight real fast Can i possibly be pregnant or its just all in my mind since i am excited to be a mom? please help...

ok here's the deal...i live in texas...when i lived in california, they had this system where when you get a ticket you get points taken off (unless you take traffic school) your license and if you get so many taken off you get your license suspended. OK, so, does texas do that too? I got into a car accident and it was my fault..do they take points off too? im really scared of getting my license suspended cuz i only have 4 left!!!

I went from 145 (pre-preg) which was already too much( I am 26 and I was 135 in college) to 165 LBS. My husband, although I don't believe him says that he actually prefers what I call my new thunder thighs. Should I do this sexy performance for him or wait until I have less flab :-) ??

He's a great husband. Has not complained at all about my new weight or shown any signs of dissatisfaction. But in my opinion, when it comes to being sexy fat is fat . What do you think?
