Money is not really a concern, but I'd still rather not waste it.

The most expensive:
http://www.amazon.com/Cuisinart-MCP-12-Multiclad-Stainless-Steel-12-Piece/dp/B0007KQZWU/ref=sr_1_17/102-8201946-7342546?ie=UTF8&s=kitchen&qid=1188348523&sr=1-17

The cheap one:
http://www.amazon.com/Pinzon-10-Piece-Stainless-Steel-Cookware-Set/dp/B000G7VI1W/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/102-8201946-7342546?ie=UTF8&s=kitchen&qid=1188348523&sr=1-1

The one I can get 60% off:
http://www.pamperedchef.com/index.jsp
(from there, go to shop online and the Stainless Steel set should be in there)

Or would you rather have none of the ones listed?

If you want cookware that will last you a life-time, and price is not really a problem, and you don't really need a huge matched set, take a look at AMC Cookware.

I've still got the fancy stuff people gave me when we got married 32 years ago, but this skillet, saucepan and stew/soup-size pot are the only ones I ever really use!

My sister-in-law loves her Le Creuset set, which she also uses to serve food at the table because they are attractive. I find them heavy, though.

First of all, how do you get 60% off on Pampered Chef?! I love their products but they are expensive.
I agree with the first answerer...I like to feel the weight of the pans and also I like a copper clad bottom for better heat distribution. Sometimes the copper is sandwhiched between layers of stainless steel.
Just going by the pictures and knowing the quality of their other products I would go with Pampered Chef.

Cuisinart is a respected name brand, usually quality items, big price tag.

I'd prefer Wagner Wear because I know it is a heavy duty, good performing product, easy to clean. I also prefer to feel the weight of cookware before buying, can't do that from pictures.

bon apetit
