why is it so wrong to be "so american" like when someone says "....your so american" and Usually your first reaction would be "...how am i so american"?? why is it that we take that as an offense? whats so wrong about it. i have to write an essay and i am a little lost.

Is there any tests I can have done to see if I am still fertile?
A few years ago I had to undergo 2 abortions that were routine due to 2 mis-carridges.
Since then, I have never got pregnant and it has been several years now.
Can I have tests done on the nhs and is there a waiting list? many thanks.

Three men were sitting together bragging about how they had given
their new wives duties.

The first man had married a woman from Tennessee and bragged that he had
told his wife she was going to do all the dishes and house cleaning.

He said it took a couple days but on the third day he came home to
a clean house and the dishes were done.

The second man had married a woman from Florida. He bragged that he had
given his wife orders that she was to do all the cleaning, dishes and the cooking.
On that the first day he didn't see any results, but the next day it was
better. By the third day, his house was clean, the dishes were done and
he had a huge dinner on the table.

The third man married a girl from New York. He told her that her
duties were to keep the house clean, dishes washed, lawn mowed,
laundry washed and hot meals on the table every day.

He said the first day he didn't see anything, the second day he didn't see
anything but by the third day most of the swelling had gone down and he
could see a little out of his left eye; enough to fix himself a bite
to eat, load the dishwasher and telephone a landscaper

Over half of the fatal crashes in the united states are due to drunk/buzzed drivers. i saw a recent study that showed people with a BAC of .06 were impaired enough to markedly decrease thier reaction time and judgement. however, in some states the legal BAC is .1 and in others it is .08

do you think lowering the legal limit to .06 for all states would decrease the amount of traffic fatalities? and DUI offenses?

i am a DUI offender myself (sober 17 months) i really think that if the limit was lowered more people would be more likely 'not' to order that last drink, or have a drink and drive at all for that matter. what do you think? would it make people more accountable or would it do nothing at all?

I have a friend who is a music teacher and one of her students can not afford to buy a clarinet or the monthly rental fee. If anyone knows of any programs that collect inturments to donate for said situation could you please let me know. Also if anyone by chance has a plastic student clarinet they wouldnt mind parting with let me know too. Thank you for your time reading this. Oh yeah, we are located in Fayetteville North Carolina. I'm a soldier here and dont have any children so I have little experiance with the education system in this state.

My husbands exwife is impossible!! She's been in jail, stays on drugs and she remarried and had 3 more children, so she has 5 in all.

The oldest child is my husbands and we know that thanks to a paternity test, but she won't give him a paternity test for the next to oldest child, which she claims is his, but has told him to his face that this child isn't his.

Here she is taking him back to court again....wanting MORE child support.

She doesn't do what the papers say, she lives off of welfare--medical card & foodstamps, etc. She's perfectly able to work, she just won't.

All she wants to do is get more & more child support money, she takes my husband back to court every chance she can trying to get more money.

We are a single income family with two children of our own.

Are there any ways to get child support lowered? To get a drug test on her & prove that she's not a good mother? Is there any way to do anything to get her to stop taking him back to court constantly?

So, this is a little embarressing, but none of you know who I am anyways so I'll ask it. For the past few months I've been having some stool trouble, bloody to be exact. Its kinda on again off again. It happens, then it doesn't happen for a couple weeks, then it does, etc. I looked up the symptoms of colon cancer and obviously bloody stools is one of them, but so is fatigue and abdominal pain. I don't know if I get fatigued, but I'm often tired(then again, I'm 16 and us teenagers are tired often) and I don't know about the abdominal pain. I don't know if this is a concious thing because I heard about stomach ulcers or what.

I've told my friend about it, and he said it happened to him too and it will eventually go away.

The blood is on the stool and I don't know what else to add.

I just read a question and all of the answers told the asker to read James Herriot. And it wasn't as if an answerer came along and gave a better version of the answer, they all pretty much said the same thing. Isn't that a waste of one of your answers since the asker will probably pick the first person who gave it? lol. I've seen it lots before. Or is it that you don't bother reading the answers and hope that your answer is unique?

I need to know if someone has had distorted vision and/or light really hurting your eyes after the surgery. If you have, what is it called and can an eye doctor fix it? I can't work, because I can't see. The eye doctors say they can't find anything in my eyes that are causing it? It seems doctors stick together on these things. Please help. Thank you

I'm using the ice cube method, but I think that the ice causes the temperature to go down way too fast. I heard it's really bad for the fish. I just got home and my temp tank is almost 90 degrees holy california heat wave. Chillers are out of the question, they are like 500 bucks for one! Any other method that works, or should I stick to ice?

That is the question I have for part of a chemistry lab, but here are the specifics on what exactly I'm talking about.

We dissolved a silver-copper alloy in nitric acid (HNO3) and added salt (NaCl) so that the silver from the alloy would form a silver chloride precipitate. The point of the lab was to filter this silver chloride precipitate out of the solution so we could find its mass, and then calculate how much silver was in the original alloy.

The question is, why couldn't we have only used hydrochloric acid (HCl) instead to dissolve the alloy and precipitate the silver? Would the alloy still dissolve in the hydrochloric acid so that only an AgCl precipitate forms?
