My father, my uncle and my grandfather all fought in C20th wars to stop groups like the BNP coming to power and people like Griffin becoming PM. I see no reason to stop following the family tradition. The BNP are not "British" as far as that tradition goes - and Griffin's no patriot.

Lots of good answers so far.
And their supporters also harass anyone who opposes them on here.
There was made up story over the weekend about Searchlight distributors spitting in the faces of the public as they 'sold' the paper - Searchlight is free, and hence is not sold. So that was a lie.
Another story they put out was a BNP councillor was attacked by anti fascist activists. Again, no mention of it - if it was, then the BNP would be up in arms about it.

Brown and co may be liars over Iraq, but Griffin and his party are even greater liars and pose the biggest threat to democracy today.

I'd rather slide down a razor blade using my b*lls as brakes.

Think about it: They've already demonstrated that they do not like opposition, with one of their members being placed under a restraining order for harassing another MP.

Dislike of opposition means that, as they have stated their intention, they would control the mass media. That means a complete end to free speech - even the limited amount that we now have. That means TOTAL control even to the extent that ISPs would be ordered to block access to sites like this one.

Anyone gay out there? Prepare to become illegal under the BNP.

Any of you girls got jobs? Prepare to lose them under the BNP.

Any of you lads work for companies who depend upon exports for some or all of their trade revenue? Dole money currently stands at £56pw. Thought I'd let you know so you can plan for the day when foreign-owned companies pull out of a BNP-controlled Britain, and other nations place trade embargoes against us in retaliation against stated BNP policy to restrict the import of goods from those places.

Anyone a catholic, methodist, first-day-adventist, Jehova's Witness, Mormon? I hope you have your own boats because the water tends to get a tad chilly outside the 12 mile limit if you don't, and prison ships can become a trifle whiffy after Day 3.

no.
but i believe in freedom of speach and think they should be given air time too explain their views.
we find it ok too to air the view's of the extreme left, but not the extreme right.
i myself dislike extremism of any kind, be it left or right of the political spectrum.
but the only way to fight the likes of the bnp is to let folk hear what they have to say and shoot down their views one by one.
i believe it was st.andrews university that invited the bnp to partake in a politcal debate, but was withdrawn due to student protest. why ? wouldnt it have been better too have them speak and then take them apart view by view?
most folk who may be tempted to vote bnp may then discover the truth that they themselves are targets of the bnp, example -
women rape in marriage would be acceptable also under bnp law>.
immigration .
religion .
not airing the bnp's view's, many folk who think they're safe and will vote bnp, will find themselves somewhat surprised and standing in the deportation line at passport controll.
mind you, if bnp came to power, who wouldnt want to be first in line to leave ?

I've never heard of Nick Griffin.

If he intends to be prime-minister, he really should get people with brains and money to back him.

No.

And because they're councillors have all been guilty of one crime or another, because they have ex-members like the bomber David Copeland and because they will (deservedly) never lose their image as a 'party' of racist, anti-Semitic, holocaust-denying homophobic xenophobes, they will never see any meaningful power in the UK.

I think out of all the above answers Ding Dong has answered with common sense and an honest view.

In my opinion I think Griffin would make a good prime minister, he's young dynamic, clever and working class, he is worried about what is happening to our country and and wants to protect a global minority (us) from extinction. One thing he hasn't done is what most of the previous answers have done and that's ''bury his head in the sand. He says what the Native Britain really thinks. I am very impressed with his stand to confront fraud and abuse of power in government and increase standards of behaviour at all levels of government. Nick is a realist not a puppet with strings being pulled by someone else.

it is very important that UKIP and the BNP maintain their rise in popularity and gain seats in the next Parliament.

Having fought naziism 60/70 years ago, we would be the laughing stock of the international community if we chose such racist bigots to lead our country now.

Little chance of that, fortunately. Democracy and education should protect us from that lunacy.

No. Never. EVER.

I'd rather bring down the government than live under such a hate filled tyrant.

Yes!!!All the others have had their chances. The BNP is the only party to represent the views of the ordinary man in the street. In my local on the subject of crime, asylum and many other things no one is ever in agreement with Brown or the Tony Clone, they all want to repeat the policy that got us into the mess we are in.
