"The early Christian fathers adhered to a meatless regime...many early Christian groups supported the meatless way of life.

In fact, the writings of the early Church indicate that meat eating was not officially allowed until the 4th century, when the Emperor Constantine decided that his version of Christianity would be the version for everyone.

A meat eating interpretation of the Bible became the official creed of the Roman Empire, and vegetarian Christians had to practice in secret or risk being put to death for heresy.

Is it ironic that Pagan Rome has had such an influence upon present day Christianity?

Okay the other night I was going to sleep and i heard a noise and i opened my eyes and there was a man with a top hat on standing there and i jumped up and turned on my light and he was gone..it totally freaked me out..do you guys think it was just where i was half asleep and half awake or he was a ghost..has something similar to this happened to any of you.. can someone explain this 2 me? plz..thanks

I work for a major media company that deals with video games. I had to register a DBA in order to work for them for tax purposes. I work at home for this company so I would like to know what I can deduct when tax season comes around.

Since I work from home, I'm assuming that my internet bill, phone bill, electricity are all tax deductable. Another thing I had to buy was a PS3 because I will be receiving material to review for my job, so I was wondering how much of that cost I can deduct.

I also want to know if any video games that I purchase and my GameFly membership can be deducted at all?

I'll be getting a laptop soon. I want to be able to use my regular pc in one room while someone else uses the wireless laptop in another room. I have a cable modem. How will I connect things so I can do the above? I do have an older Wireless B router if that will be of any help. Thanks

I traveled across the country for his sister's wedding. The day we returned, he said he wanted to break up bc he can't be there for me like I need him to right now and it's not fair. We dated 3 yrs and he'd stopped putting in effort, leaving me feeling insecure and doubting him. I thought this might finally make him see I'm worth it.

Since then, he's completely blown me off. He refuses to talk about his feelings, and yells at me if I call and try to talk things over, he says the reason we broke up was so he didn't have to deal with me being upset.

Instead of trying to make things work, he chose to run away and not take any responsibility for the way he's treated me and made me feel. But he still talks about the future, like we'll get together again/he'll be there for me when he's ready. I miss him, but I've been much happier without having someone I love not treat me well again and again. I know I need to move on-- but part of me wonders, do you think he could ever really change?

Until recently i was always sceptical about the powers of medians, but a recent event with a median has made me think twice.
I attended a spiritualist church meeting last week, the median went around the room telling everyone a message from a lost dear one, when she came to me she spoke to me in the exact way that my gran spoke(phrasing & voice tone) told me that she was talking to my grandmother(mentioned by name) & she also told me that my father & grandad were happily with her. she also told me that the problems in my life at the moment would be short lived & sorted out very soon.
The thing that freaked me out is that she mentioned my grandmother by name & also my grandad & dad all by their correct name. are you a believer?

So... I am taking a radiology class and we are getting reintroduced to some math, it has been years since I have taken a math class...I got through 99.9% of it and now I am on the last problem and have no idea! Please walk me through it!
