Do you think we are allowed to answer R&S questions that are not related to Religion? Sometimes I would like to join in, but I feel I don't really belong there, so I feel shy....

but they seem nice people... Are we in competition? Like P&S vs R&S? I hope not!

I do NOT want to use an internet service such as Skype, Yahoo, etc.

I want to be able to connect my phone line to the computer modem, and be able to make telephone calls using my existing land line service.

How would I be able to do this? It should be possible.

I recently saw a program on the Discovery Channel about elephants that included a segment where the group they were following came across the body of another dead elephant. The reaction of the elephants was strange, with them stopping to touch the bones of the dead animal with their trunks while they all gathered around. The program suggested that this shows that elephants can grieve for their dead and are thus fully concious beings. Does anyone know of any scientific research about this? Also, what is your opinion?

I'm in the fourth day of fighting a cold and just feel lousy. I don't feel like doing much of anything. My girlfriend wants me to get outside, walk the dogs, do something, anything, but I don't feel like it. She told me I'm acting like a baby and that she's tired of waiting on me, so if I want anything I'll have to get it or do it myself. I can't help it if I'm sick---does it sound like I'm acting immature?

MY FIANCE MOVED AWAY ABOUT 2 MONTHS AGO, IF YOU LOOK AT MY PREVIOUS POST REGARDING HIM IT WILL SAVE ME A LOT OF TIME, THANKS :) ANYWAYS, HE'S FROM THE SOUTH AND HE NEVER WAS ABLE TO ADAPT TO LIFE IN THE NORTHEAST TO HE LEFT. HE HAD GIVEN IT TWO TRIES, ALTHOUGH THE 2ND TIME HE DIDN'T DO ANYTHING EXCEPT MAKE HIMSELF MISERABLE BY REFUSING TO DO ANYTHING. HE WASN'T WORKING, WASN'T IN SCHOOL, ETC. WELL, HE THOUGHT HE WOULD BE HAPPIER IN TX WITH MEXICANS. HE'S HALF MEX AND HALF CAUCASIAN...HE IDETIFIES MORE WITH MEXICANS BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT HE GREW UP AROUND, WHICH IS WHY HE NEVER WAS COMFORTABLE IN THE NORTHEAST, HE ALWAYS THOUGHT PEOPLE WERE JUDGING HIM-TOTALLY NOT TRUE, EVERYONE ABSOLUTELY ADORED HIM. ANYWAYS, HE STILL TELLS ME HE LOVES AND MISSES ME, AND HE'S NOT HAPPY DOWN THERE EITHER. IT'S BEEN 2 MONTHS AND HE'S DONE NOTHING. HE TELLS ME HE'S NOT COMING BACK BUT I REFUSE TO GIVE UP ON HIM.
